How can these high stakes players be profitable? Everyone knows the odds a d they get it in on every draw. Sometimes they hit sometimes they dont. How can these guys on ACR who play consistently at such high levels be making any money if you know they are often losing many draws

i played 25omaha on NJWSOP , and i always been profitable on omaha even back on full tilt, I'm going to give it another run and try to get to 50 omaha.. its just a high variance game, and it attracts a lot of action seekers make sure you are in your zone.

You cant look at it in terms of the way you see holdem. there are many situations where what would be perceived a draw is actually ahead equity wise.

Omaha is a lot closer in terms of hand v hand equity and in that regard you are really always battling for 1% here, 2% here and naturally with EV being closer, you can be more confident in getting a lot of money in more frequently.

The game is a lot more nuanced than that but just from a brief description....

I hear what you are saying here, and I do understand the math of the game especially in OMAHA...in these games you still run into a lot of flip situations and it seems like everyone more than happy to go in on a flip..I played at these stakes for a little while. It's like you have to have an unlimited roll to be able to withstand the swiings. Maybe that's more my question....are their bankrolls just insane

Well, they dont get it on with every draw.
In Omaha there are many kind of draws and I guarantee you that with most of them the regular players will fold.

Plus "get it in" means several rounds of betting, as its always pot limit in omaha.

yea i mean, any game you play you need to have a bankroll right. I probably played 100 times my usual buy in or like 500 times 100bb but since it was live 500bb was the usual buy in. I know people who play a lot less and a lot more.

Right..and that's the best way to lose it fast. Playing above those limits
