I think that in omaha luck plays a major role on your winnings because you have more equity preflop .. most of the time even when you flop a good hand you are against another player that has flopped a hand and you are often 50/50 on winning the hand
I think that in omaha being skillfull has less value than being skillfull in holdem

Omaha is a mental mind game for me. I hate when I get a set, quad, 3 or 4 to the flush or straight. I have my outs in my hand.

It's like playing 6 hands of HE at once, calculating outs for these two cards or those two cards. Very easy to overlook something if not focused.

I think your way off the mark on this. Yes equities do run closer in Omaha than in Holdem but that’s if ppl are playing quality starting hands. I only play PLO cash games on BOL, intertops and SportsbettingPoker because I have a big skill advantage over most of the players. Skill is definitely just as important if not more so in Omaha compared to Holdem.

I guess there is more luck in that you won't be as big of a favorite a lot of the time since hand equities run closer together (even if you get all in pre-flop with double-suited aces you aren't going to win 80% of the time), but as mentioned there is still a lot of skill involved.

Learning how to maximize your edge becomes more important so position and pot control are emphasized more in PLO.

Good luck to you! :D
