can somebody tell me the odds of hitting a backdoor flush, i had 64s on a board of aj4 with a backdoor draw, i always have counted that as 1 out, so to me in this hand i have 6 outs, 6,4 running hearts, is this correct, regardless the player who was betting into me was betting 1/9th the pot, should i be calling this in the long run, hes clearly a bad player and if i hit my flush and he has an ace then he will call my river bet which i bet 1.5x the pot and did get called. I just dont wasnt to be to results orientated and am wondering about your thoughts on how i played it. Im open to criticism. i also have to put it out there that this is the type of player who will bet 1bb on every street and call if i raise him as a bluff, so raise is out of the question on the flop, maybe raise on the turn tho.

My understanding is also that you can (as a rule of thumb) you can add one out per backdoor from the flop, and by the turn you'll know where you stand anyway.

Yeah, I call and then go crazy when I hit against a guy like that.

You have odds to call on your 5-out two pair + draw, so it's not even close. You actually have 22.8% equity so calling 1/9th pot is pretty easy.

BD FD adds about 4.5% equity which is enough difference to float in a lot of spots where you don't have a pair but have an overcard. If you have ATss on a 762r board with a spade you should probably float most flops in positions unless you're against some nit who only bets like overpairs/sets there.

Can't tell you how many times I've called like $5 in $60 pots with like 66 on a K72 board and hit sets and stack them.

thanks for the help, was afraid somebody would be like "yer a huge donk playing 64s to a raise oop" but in these games hehehehe value, shoulda bet more on the river cus he clearly had an ace
