I think I'll be taking up cash games. MTTs are killing my soul and as much as I love the thrill of MTTs and the thought of a big score, I just don't ever see that ever happening.

It's like the saying goes: Winners never quit and quitters never win, but if you never win and never quit, you're an idiot.

I could go back to SNGs, but I'm tired of those. So, it's onto cash games for me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to play limit or NL, but I eventually settled on FLHE is the game I want to grind out. I have very limited FLHE experience, so I plan on picking up a book or two to study for the first half of Nov. Then from Nov. 15th on, I'll start with .25/.50 FLHE. I'm starting here because the rake is slightly lower. Hopefully I can grind enough to play the .50/1. stakes by January. However, I'll add to the funds to meet the BR requirements. My goal is to make 2011 a solid/profitable year starting with .50/1 FLHE and hopefully being a solid 1/2-2/4 by the end of the year. I'm even looking up a second job to pay for coaching for this game.

Anyway, I'm thinking too far ahead. November goal is to start multi-tabling .25/.50 FLHE by Nov. 15th.

Also, any FLHE book recommendations?

I'm goin for bronze level ironman this month, not so balla I know but the point is to keep me playing decent volume with an added bonus more then anything. If at any point I feel that its making me play bad just to reach it then Ill just feggetaboutit.

Seems like it wont too hard at all though even for a typically low volume player like me. 600-750 hands a day at 5nl 6 max. Pfff. NBD amirite?

I really played like a jackass/ donkey last night and this morning so I pledged I would play an entire session of pure bet/ raise/ fold Poker. Here are the details. I think I may experiment with this for awhile. Curious what you think of my A2s pct??

So I host a cash game wih some people evry coupla weeks. Nothing crazy, 6-8 peeps at micro stakes like 10n - 25nl. We like to spice it up sometimes and do things like play the 7 duece game, show one card if you win without a showdown and staddle/dbl straddle. Gonna start allowing the run it 2 or 3 times when people are AI as well.

Anyone know of any other things like this you can do that Im missing here?

If you're going to post a wall of standard hands ITT at least have the courtesy to post something worthwhile to go with it.
