Long time to play hold'em. Today I come back to play.I remember someone told me , when we have very strong cards, not to slowplay. But nowadays, people in pokerstars play hold'em is more and more carefully, and so many people are good players. Is the theory still work? slowplay or quickplay when have strong cards?

Play 'em fast on wet boards and against stations/fish.

He means something like quads and top full house, so nuts that are not vulnerable to redraws.

If you have 77 and flop is 773 then especially OOP you should just check/call until river and hope someone nabs a full house/flush/straight etc. If you start attacking then most people will maybe call once and that is it. Basically only 33 calls you here.

If you have 22 and flop is 277 then you can actually be outdrawn by another pocket pair so you can be slightly more aggressive to charge the opponents for drawing to that hand. Also you get calls from good 7x hands.

Probably the worst flop ever is to have AA and flop is AAK or something like that... yeah you have the nuts but who is gonna pay you? Again, slowplay and prey someone hits something.

I only slowplay a hand if i have the nuts or if i am playing against a super agressive player. Other situations I simply bet not giving to my opponents a free card.

Always depends on the board and other players.
Is there agro maniac behind you, let him bluff 1 or 2 barrels (dont reraise on first barrel).
Is there calling station? Go half of pot on each street, unless some draws gots completed.

sometimes one can shove a monster hand, for instance imagine a table where there are 2 or 3 maniacs that are playing like they are (mostly at the very beginning before they all are busted), but there are times where the table is too passive an any atempt to raise means everybody will fold, so maybe one wants somebody to get into the pot thereore one plays it differently, so every situation has to be studied carefully in order to maximize the chances of gettting most chips with monster hands

Generally, slowplaying is mostly not a good idea imo. It seems to me that these days people tend to play more tight then they used to so one of the main advantages of slowplay, to induce a bluff, is not really working anymore. Of course there are still opponents that would try to bluff you off but still it's usually better to go for value with your own good bets. Another thing is that it is very risky to slowplay average hands like TPTK, as you can be outdrawed very easily and it can all be very costly.
However, there are still few situations where it could be the best possible option. For example if you hit a really strong hand on a safe board like AA on the A93 rainbow or something, where it is quite unlikely that your opponent hit anything decent. It will be hard to get value from these situations so free card may actually help.
Another thing is if you're playing a real maniac. It's simple then. Just let him throw his chips away a slowplay all day long.

Flopping quad Aces is a little tough to extract value but there's not really a reason to slowplay 77 on 773.
