When i become the big stack in NLHE cash games i notice i start to tighten my range in all positions. Should i rather be loosening my ranges when I'm stacked or stay consistent to how tight i was prior to being stacked?

From what I have studied, it's more about what types of made hands you are committing your stack to. Big pairs and TPTK hands should be played more cautiously, and the goal becomes more about making strong hands that can be confidently committed to. Maybe you wouldn't loosen up your range in general, but certain hands like suited Aces go up in value, because they have the potential to make strong five-card hands.

I am a beginner, and that is just my two cents, based on my notes.

It depends on how deep the effective stacks are. If you have 500bbs but the 2nd largest stack is 100bbs then you play as if you have a 100bb stack. If everyone has 500bbs you can widen your range a ton since you have such high implied odds and room to maneuver post flop.

In situations like this, I usually look to absorb as many stacks as possible. What is your opinion on this mindset?

Yeah, I kind of realized that but didn't want to edit it.

It kind of feels different when I have a big stack, since I can literally stack anyone for every penny, but it's the same idea.

I also feel like a big stack gives me more opportunities to do so.

When I have a big stack, I open a little wider OTB/CO, a couple percent extra. I already open sort of wide so I can't add too many more hands. People are more likely to fold from the blinds (I believe, not sure) and they definitely 3-bet/play back post-flop wayyyy less. They'll usually play fit-or-fold on the flop. I also have position, which makes it harder for them to continue/make plays at the pot. But other than that not really. Opening wider just because you have a big stack from all positions like UTG/MP/SB is bad because you're going to usually or always be OOP. You need to have a better reason like fishies in the blinds.

But yeah, when you have a big stack, and i mean 500bb+, it's pretty fun. Nobody wants to play back, and they just hand you their money. Highest i ever got to was 980/990bb at 25NL a while ago. Couldn't reach 1000bb and stoppd after dropping to like 920ish.
