I will be going to the Casino soon to play in my 2nd cash game ever. I really would like some advice on what my approach to this level should be.

At your level, assuming an avg 1/2 table, very tight preflop and pretty tight (especially without position) postflop.

Stay AWAY from playing big raised pots OOP unless you are getting GREAT odds with hands like a small PP which can flop nuts, etc.

Like Razz said, play tight. Slow playing with great odds has always played well for me in live cash games.

Don't push or call ALL IN unless you made full house , flush or quads
You can push all if you made straight on flush draw board but no chances for flush

Just play these hands
AA< AKs< KK<QQ<JJ<AQs<KQs<AJs<1010<99<88<KJs<JQs

Think that its ok you dont make money but you cannot lose money

I wouldn't suggest playing strategies that don't make money

Seems reasonable, but this strategy could make money if he gets the cards in the right situations. I think tight conservative is a good plan.

Dont just enter the table.

Watch first and observe.

Select table you know you can beat.

As everyone's saying, play tight. Get value out of your really good hands. I find there's no reason to slowplay big hands either. They are either going to call you all the way down to the river with their made pair, thinking it's the nuts, or they are gonna jam the nuts thinking it's preposterous that someone could beat their top pair 3 kicker.

Play small pots preflop with your speculative hands (suited connectors, small pairs, etc.) They can easily get you the bigger pots because your made big hands (boats, sets, flushes, straights etc.) are very concealed and again, they are looking to pay you off when they flop a pair.

You're going to be folding A LOT. That's ok. But don't just sit back and watch TV in the meantime. Really pay attention to your opponents. Find weaknesses you can exploit. Just because you are going to be playing a really tight game doesn't mean that there won't be times you can loosen things up a bit against certain opponents.

And one more thing, and it may be the most important thing I'm saying here. Keep position in mind. The more hands you play out of position, the more money you are naturally going to bleed away. You have a strong advantage when you are last to act. Use that advantage.

Before starting the game you should watch them for a while. (10-15 round at least)
Than forgot the big pots! Maybe you win 1 big (with 1/2$ I think these big pots starting from 100$) but after that you will easily lose 3 other nad it's not profitable.
I usually play with 67s 89s 910s to, when the pot is not too big.
You should try out Zoom on PS or Rush on FTP :) I love them!
