i have a problem understanding what strategy should i take here.
i play a home game, the buy in is 50$. blind r 1$, 1$ (SB and BB is the same) and we r about 7 hands (7 players at the table).
very quickly someone become a chip leader with about 150-200$, and he only rises. preflop he (or sometimes someone else) raises for like 8-14$ (which is 8-14BB), it is a huge raise compare to the pot. and on the flop there will almost always be another raise of about 20$.
that is where my problem is. if i call the flop for 10$ (for example) i have behind only about 40$, and when he raises the flop for 20$ more it leaves me with only 20$ if i call. i get shortstacked very quickly, unless i am the one winning at the begining of the game.
people raise crazy amount, sometimes even 2-4 times the size of the pot, and that leaves me helpless, like if i dont have AA or KK i cant win in this kind of game, because u can never know where u stand.
by the way, we r allowed to rebuy any amount we want as long as it is not more than the chip leader.
what strategy should i use?
thanks alot.

This is a high variance game, embrace it or don't play. I'm assuming the 'owners' of the game won't like hit-n-run or a huge nit (ie won't invite you back) so given your description

1) Top hands, TT+, AQ+ - if there is a typical raise ahead of you, shove your 50BB stack.
2) Limp SCs from SB/BB if it is cheap and shove any flop that gives you a combo draw
3) Set mine preflop from LP with 22-99 ONLY if players behind aren't likely to raise, shove the flop if you hit

(as always these are general guidelines that will have exceptions)

Take notes, either during a session or shortly after or during breaks. You really need to work on your opponent ranges and your hand reading.

Have a bankroll and always play with a topped-up stack.

Unless I was prepared to rebuy a few times equal to the chip lead I would avoid this game for sure.
The players that only have $50 will lose every time.

In this situation, I can advise you to wait for a very good card, such as AA, KK or Q

In this situation, I can advise you to wait for a very good card, such as AA, KK or QQ. In this game, against an aggressive player, you have your advantage, if you wait for your nuts, then most likely you will double your stack. The main thing here is to have patience and endurance. If you do not have the patience or luck is not on your side today, it's best to change the table and play with the more passive players, because at this table with such an aggressor you can lose all the stack due to the blinds. There are a lot of different tables on poker rooms with different players, the main thing is to choose the one that suits you.

It doesn't seem like you have much choice then. If they keep re-raising you with absurd amounts, and you don't want to take high variance risks, then your best hope is to wait for the nuts.

At the start of the game, I would play a short stack strategy. Any hand that I got involved in would be a quality hand that I would be willing to push in all my chips pre flop or on the flop. If I lost the $50, my next buy in would for at least $100 and play a TAG style.
