i have a problem understanding what strategy should i take here.
i play a home game, the buy in is 50$. blind r 1$, 1$ (SB and BB is the same) and we r about 7 hands (7 players at the table).
very quickly someone become a chip leader with about 150-200$, and he only rises. preflop he (or sometimes someone else) raises for like 8-14$ (which is 8-14BB), it is a huge raise compare to the pot. and on the flop there will almost always be another raise of about 20$.
that is where my problem is. if i call the flop for 10$ (for example) i have behind only about 40$, and when he raises the flop for 20$ more it leaves me with only 20$ if i call. i get shortstacked very quickly, unless i am the one winning at the begining of the game.
people raise crazy amount, sometimes even 2-4 times the size of the pot, and that leaves me helpless, like if i dont have AA or KK i cant win in this kind of game, because u can never know where u stand.
by the way, we r allowed to rebuy any amount we want as long as it is not more than the chip leader.
what strategy should i use?
thanks alot.
