Thoughts have always been TAG. But ive just hit 24k hands and im -$28.73 overall and im starting to get frustrated. At around 21k hands id just made it back into the green (~+$5), having spent the vast majority of in the red, but then took a few hits and ive been pretty much stuck at around $15-$30 down overall for the last 3k or so.
I dont know if TAG is the best style for me, because the suckouts people put on me really frustrate me and they happen a lot lol! im also prone to get impatient and always play 3+ tables. Notably last session I flopped top two pair twice and lost both. One to runner runner full house (yes the guy called with bottom pair on the flop...) and the other I kinda knew villain had an overpair as she 3-bet me pre and I had a read, so I shoved her in on the flop and she hit trips on the river. I went kinda tilted and loosened up (probably way too much) but I didnt even do badly, actually made a BI back. The table just thought I was an idiot and called me with rags which makes me think LAG can be hugely profitable, even thought its a very hard style to master.
So NIT or playing looser might be better for me. NIT might reduce the bad beats or if I play looser, try to have less hands go to showdown and when I do have monsters people will call me down more.
Would be really helpful if some of you who are profiting from 5NL or even 10NL over a good sample size could give me some advice. Thanks guys
