^^^^^^^what he said.

You should look at every thing you do at a poker table like this:

Why am I doing what I am doing?

If you dont have an answer, then that is a good place to start.

I will give a couple of examples.

Limping in early position with a very strong hand - AKs, AA-QQ - because you have a player to follow who constantly raises limpers, and you expect to be raised here most of the time. VOILA! A REASON for doing something. Not that I think limping is necessarily the best move, but just showing a plausible reason why limping would be one thing to consider in this situation.

Just try to have reasons for what you do. Sounds easy, and is often not.

Go here to read some beginner strategy.

PS: limping is generally just to be avoided in micro stake nlhe online games. Punishing limpers is to be enjoyed.

Q1: fold
Q2: raise if nobody raises before you otherwise call a normal 3-4x raise. You can 3bet from LP 88-TT vs some aggros. In general it's pretty bad to limp.

most time raise or fold, just little time limp for balance.

Why fold?

Opening a wider range (54s+ and Ax) in LP has probably been one of the most profitable things I started doing for my game. If the blinds fold - yay! If the blinds call - you're in position with not too terrible a hand to play on the flop.

EDIT: Just re-read the OP and see he's asking which is better to limp with. Yeah, if you're considering limping with these hands, it's probably a better idea to just fold them.

oh sorry my bad. Q1: If someone raised I would call in LP 67s+ and A2s+. But never limp them if nobody opened. raise or fold. that's what I wanted to say.

By open limping with marginals what are you trying to accomplish? Is it see the flop cheap and play from there? Or not to inflate the pot pre-flop? In either case the strategy rarely works as you give everyone odds to join the fun. So you see the flop cheap and make TP with your A rag... now what? Is that A going to be any good or your flop bet believable to someone holding another A rag better than yours? Plus, ok you saw a cheap flop but since you invited the table to follow you in the pot is now inflated anyway so your next bet is going to be relatively large.

Fold both unless your late position not on bb.bb id check it, early to mid position fold, and very late position raise only if folded to you
