Yeah thats a wicked play. I think you have to have a good read on your opponent though and know he's capable of bluffing
you when you make a probe bet on the river (I sometimes even check... but missed value if he doesnt take the bait!)
Another one I use: If I'm in position against an aggressive player and I flop a monster. Lets say I have T8s and the flop comes down TT8 he checks it to me and I will bet EXACTLY HALF POT-everybody knows a half pot bet is a C bet. He calls because He's aggressive and hes going to represent a slow play and try and steal later. Anyway, he checks the turn and I check behind telling him It was just a C bet. He bets the river and obviously I raise. If the board is draw heavy I might add another bet on the turn praying he draws to a flush and hits the river.
