Hey guys,

I have decided to multitable at 1/2 NL or .5/1 NL not for a living but to earn a little side cash. I usually play 1 table 2/4 NL but I think this will be a new challenge for me. I was just wondering how much I should have as my bankroll to get this 4 tabling started. Also I was wondering on some strategies...such as...some told me to be patient and play only premiums. Is this how all of you guys who multitable play?

Bankroll requirement are not affected by multitabling unless your edge over the opponents was severely affected. I use a 40 buy-ins rule, but some people use a little less. I would really not advise playing 1/2 NL without at least $5000, though.

Your strategy should not be affected at all by the fact you are multitabling. if you are winning at 2/4, just play the same way while multi tabling 1/2. if you nit it up too much, you win rate will crash down as you will become super exploitable for the regs there. you'll still make money from the fishes, but most of it won't stay in your pockets but will feed the better regs.

Yeah, while 4 tables is technically multi-tabling, that's really the same as one. It's not going to be all that fast, and you'll still be able to get reads just the same on those tables. You don't need to change anything at all, you'll be just fine.

i don't multi cash games that much. but from what i have heard. if your going to multi table you need to have poker tracker or holdem manger, to help with reads. most people that multi table have it. you need to level the playing field.
