New and cash games

Hello I am new in cash games and would like to advise me which option to choose and what bet to play. Until now I've played mostly tournaments and I do not know where to start.

Almost start at the lowest limit available. On some sites its 2NL, on others it might be more. The typical formats are 6-max or 9-max also often called "full ring". 6-max is more action filled, while full ring can be more relaxed and better for more analytical and patient players. Try both and decide, which one suit your style and personality better.

In my opinion, the best option is not to start playing cash games. It is better for you to continue to play tournaments and improve your skills.

I had the same question as the OP, as I’m in the same boat. I’ve also played exclusively tournaments and built up a bank roll that way. But I read somewhere that all good cash players can become good tournament players, but not necessarily the other way around.

Your response sounds like it is opposite of that sentiment... so I’d like to understand your thinking process. [emoji4]

I would suggest starting at 2nl 6 max on party poker /betfair or possibly pokerstars,the games are very easy to beat and the bonuses are ok.If you need help with ranges,strategy or any other advise. Just give me a pm or leave a message in here and we can chat on discord or skype or something or via this thread whichever.

I would start off lowest possible 0.01/0.02 nlhe if your looking to try it out. hard to get alot of good play tho so sit in and observe play styles before you join and dont just jump on a open table as thats recipe for disaster. very easy to blow 20$ or make 20 quick at these limits depending on how many cowboys you run into. either way find a game you enjoy and practice as you will get better. review stats after every run etc.
