I like to be 200-400bbs deep when I play cash games live. I would say since cash games are new to you be less active at the start and observe how people are playing and adjust your game according to the players. At 1/2 you should see some patterns develop in how people play draws, made hands and bluffs. A lot of 1/2 players tend to play pretty straight forward. You'll be able to tell pretty easily who are the better more experienced players at the table and which ones are weaker. Good luck in the game

Play very conservatively to start out with and tried to get a read on other players play only very good hands until you get some reads on players you should be able to tell fairly quickly which are sharks and which are fish

Agrwe with the previous poster. Play conservitively at the start. Develop a tight table image and take note as to who you want to target and get in hands with. 1/2 home games are likely to be tougher than 1/2 games in a casino.

When give out cards, look at the enemy and not on their cards, the study contender gestures, for example. A true smile means a truly strong 'hand'; A false smile means a bluff or The player who makes a bet looks more friendly, the more likely that he is bluffing.

remember that most players can truly smile only when they feel fearlessly. And the players feel no fear, because we probably have the winning hand. The reason is that bluffing in which players try to be friendly in that they are afraid to look like they're trying to intimidate others. They try to be nice, so you did not "call". Conversely, some players, when they have a very strong hand, try to intimidate you by acting more rudely than usual.

Play slowly and watch how the other players in the table play , try to be aggressive so the players will not call you every time , show them that you're capable of playing better than them !

In a game like that, play quietly for 45 minutes. Don't be the 1st guy to fall into the pool, screaming for help. Let somebody else have that honor, and throw them a concrete life jacket when they are yelling for help

Buy in for 100bb's at first, if you think table is soft and if u know the people u play with you can buy in for table max to cover everyone and thats better for u if u play good tight agressive game against those bad opponents. try to look for what hands people showdown when action goes in certain way coz most people dont balance in those low stakes buyin games and they will do exploitable stuff

Play for fun. Don't show your cards to everyone (and to partners too if you play for money) cause it causes a dead-hand.

It's always seen when online player goes live ))
nice game!

In live cash games, I find that many people try to limp into the pot, especially when they shouldn't. Play tight, and never limp into the flop. If you are going to see a flop, bet it up at least 2 big blinds.

The essence of any effective cache strategy is not to play as many hands as possible,

The essence of any effective cache strategy is not to play as many hands as possible, but to constantly improve your game.
For this you need:
Carefully prepare for each session. Perform a certain routine before the game.
Simplify complex solutions. Play less tables. Eliminate distractions.
Cover and disassemble all potential errors. Mark them in the database.
Carefully analyze the hands. Classify them and generalize them.

My style of play would be what has already been mentioned, tight initially to understand how the other players play. Then switch up with a tight/agressive style and loose play once i have a bit of a read on players styles !
