A lot of the available moves you can make are dependant on stack sizes of you and your opponents in the pot in relation to the blinds. I usually play pretty straightforward with over 20bb's with the exception of some blind steals in late position, or taking stabs at some pots. Under 10bb i'm looking to get all my money in preflop either with what I believe to be the best hand or If i think I have some fold
equity when i'm a little shorter 7 or less. When I have between 11-20 blinds, i'm still waiting for good hands, but one adjustment I like to make is to look for some resteal opportunities out of the blinds. If you have been at the same table for a while you will start to notice which players are habitually stealing your blinds in late position, I usually will let them get away with it a few times before they make it obvious and i repop them, with any hand that has chemistry ,and win all the blinds they took from me back with interest. Ideally you want to make this move against people who don't have a short stack or a very large stack, someone that has enough chips to fold and still preserve a decent stacksize, but you want your stacksize to be large enough that if he calls and loses he will be out, crippled, or take a serious hit. I'm usually more willing to make this kind of move if the preflop raisers bet makes the pot size greater than 20% of my remaining stack, if the pot is less than that it may not be worth it from a risk/reward standpoint. Make sure he's not pot commited either to call, the larger the preflop raise in relation to his stack size, the less fold equity you will have.
I know there's kinda a lot of criteria in this, but I think you will find quite a few situations down the road where you can use it to exploit the blind stealers tendancies and earn chips. This move is not a magic bullet but just something you can add to your arsenal to open up your game some.
