Im about to start a new br on a new site without withdrawing the br i currently have on stars.

I play .25/.50 limits but for starting purposes i would drop down to .10/.25.

So the question is should i save up enough money to play at .10/.25 comortably or do I deposit 100-200 dollars leaving me underfunded and at risk of losing it to variance.

im thinking Save up about 400 or maybe 500 and then deposit because im not gonna make a withdrawel on stars.

It gets back to that age old question about how you consider your BR. I consider my BR to be all the funds I have on several sites, so even though I may only have 200 or so on a particular site I still play 25nl on that site. I can see your point though in wanting to be rolled for a particluar limit on a site and not go busto with a bad run. I guess you can make valid arguments for either side.

I was in this exact situation when I first started on FT. I deposited $200 but started at nl25 because I had enough funds at another site to consider myself rolled for it. Fortunately for me I started out hot and it was never a concern but after going through a few downswings since I'm not sure it was such a great idea. Basically if you're going to do it make sure you're going to run hot. :)

i think the bigger the bankroll the less preassure you feel when you are at the tables-give yourself as big a cushion as possible so that youre not to reload 2 weeks from first initial deposit-the_urge27

this sounds about right if you want to play .10/.25 on another site.
