Hi all:

Recently I was watching Randy Lew on YouTube and was amazed as to how he could multi table 24 games at once, and is still profitable. Even if he was a break even player with that many hands per hour he would make a healthy living just by rewards and rake back.

Personally, I can only play 4 tables at once and do fairly well. I am just perplexed as to how someone can do this!!

Anyone have any solid advice?

PS: Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply. It is greatly appreciated.

cut down your range massively. get software like table ninja/table optimizer.
its a bit harder also at the lower levels, cos youre playing lots of one tabling fish who act instantly. at the higher levels (100nl+) most players are multitabling, which results in more time for you to act, since opponents arent acting instantly themselves.

at the end of the day though, you just need to be playing solidly preflop. 99% of preflop decisions are pretty automatic and clear cut, which makes playing well postflop a ton easier too, and yeah allows for mass multitabling

Yeah that covers it pretty well. I liked 12-18 tables. Pretty often you're just clicking fold a lot. But sometimes you end up with 5 or more hands going to the flop and beyond and it can get a little hairy.

I wish I still had rakeback, lousy carbon

JCgrind!!! LOL guess who this is???? Your buddy NOGAMBLIN from ACR!! hahahahahhahaha... Small world ??

Why play on carbon? ACR is the best in my opinion especially with fish like JCgrind ;)

I'll look into table optimizer....

If you have much money, then you can multi table as many tables as you want.

If you have average money, then just play average number of tables.

Misreading table/opponent is very painful especially if its less mistake but with great impact.

To play 24 tables like randy lew you should try "sushi" for breakfast,"octopus" for lunch and "wasabi oysters" for dinner.

No frankly play only how much you can and are comfortable with and don't try to compete with randy lew.:)

IMO 4-6 table is optimum already. But it all depend on your bankroll and ability.

Every moment a player thinks only about a situation at one table If you need to pay attention to the game at the second table, then the processing of new information is not performed until a decision is made about the actions at the first table. The total time elapsed before a decision is made increases, and the time directly spent thinking about the situation and developing an answer decreases. Attempting to simultaneously follow one message and respond to another reduces the clarity of information perception and the accuracy of actions.

Hey mate, great question!

First off, don't be in a rush to play as many games as possible

Secondly, more games doesn't always mean more money (also when Randy was doing that back in the day games were a bit softer and so just getting on any table was a good thing)

Lastly, keep in mind that it's more demanding mentally to play so many games and will often tax your energy when trying to do other tasks in the day

All that being said, if you want to learn how to add more tables (and signs you are playing too many tables) you will probably find this video useful.

Hope you enjoy it!

Everything comes with experience. Usually I play 5-6 tables at a time, sometimes even 8-10. If there are more than 10 tables, I lose concentration and start making hasty wrong decisions.

My advice is that you play what gives you your concentration, do not demand too much of yourself as it can affect your bank

Take what Evan says seriously as well as CGrind. There are some utoooob vids out there with some super nova elite players as well as others with multi-screens and multi-tables. You need to be a little special to have that focus for any useful amount of time. For SNG's multitable play is formulaic, like blackjack, but you still need to be somewhat special. I think Black Rain ## who posted in the forum did this kind of thing but that era may have passed. Aside from good playing, rakeback, loyalty bucks..etc..will add to your bottom line but times are always changing.....gl.
