I am new here and am wondering if someone could explain how people can play 9 tables? What would the best strategy be when they are at your table. It is hard to get away from them because at the stakes I play that is just about all of the available tables.

Depends what limits you are playing. For most micro levels at 25NL and lower, a straightforward tight/aggressive play will yield you the best results when multitabling. If you have an instinctive knowledge of how to play each hand at any given position, multitabling 4 tables should be a piece of cake. Start from 2 or 3 and work your way up. Most people have a limit to where their profitablity starts to downswing. Take notes, chart your progress, and it should come to you rather easily.

playing more tables actually takes some of the thought processes out. start @ lower than normal stakes and work your way up.

I was just playing in an NFG where I started to talk to some people at the table about multi tabling to earn iron man status. I was just wondering if anybody has any good tips on playing multiple tables. I can usually handle 3 or so but after that I get to feeling really rushed and tend to make bad decisions. I feel like its partly because I don't want to be the guy holding everybody up so i'll do a lot of fold/call/min raise type playing, where I don't have to go through much action to do what I want to do. I also seem to have some problems focusing on every table, I'll usually pay tons of attention to one or two and just kinda autopilot on the others. And forget reading opponents, 2 minutes after theyre over I probably couldn't even tell you who I went heads up with, if I went that far

Any help here would be appreciated.
