Obviously all reads are relative, but what hands would we look to steal with deep in MTTs that give us insurance etc? Stealing with 67s is better than stealing with Q4o? I just wondered if anybody had any ranges they work with.

Many Thanks,

steal with hand with a good high card (Kx, Qx) or higher connectors (j 10, 10,9) but make continuation bets if you keep firing at the pot your opponents will fold unless they have a great hand. It gets much easier near the bubble.

No range so to speak of. Any high paint and mid size suited connectors but if he comes back over the top of you....I's considerer folding.

yeah your right with the whole 67 and Q 4 thing but what you should really be worried about is the player not your hand when stealing. Factor in their ranges, and their ranges in each different pos. Also factor in the type of player they are, for ex: tight/passive, tight/aggressive, loose/aggressive...and so on, you should be able to steal from a tight/passive player with ATC imo

And even if they call, they are out of pos. and outplaying a tight/passive who is out of pos. is too easy.

Another thing to think abut when stealing. Make sure not to steal at the same spot on the same player all the time. They wil defend eventually no matter what type of player they are. Basically just pick your spots.

I love stealing blinds when I am two away from the button or even three. As long as you have played tight up to that point, they give you credit for a hand and fold. If one caller and I don't hit the flop, its a C bet of half to 2/3 the pot and 9/10 times that takes it down. If you get called, slow down and check/fold.

I am amazed at how often this works with ATC.
