Hi

I'm a 6-max cash games player and would like to know what kind of BR management to use when climbing up stakes. I was a NL5 player but withdrew 260€ and left 40€ to play NL2. Yesterday, I reached 102€ and decided to play NL5 again. What I would like to know is how many buy-ins should I lose before dropping back to NL2. I was thinking of a 5 BI shot at NL5 and dropping back down at 75€. If that's the case, should I attempt NL5 again at 100€ or aim for 25 BI next time (125€)?

Cheers

Does not matter, the important point is to make the rule and then actually follow it.

I will follow an aggressive but draconian bankroll management in my poker journey:

-30BI for any level (so 60$ for 2NL, 150$ for 5NL, 300$ for 10NL,etc).
-4 tables pre session. Either 1 ZOOM table + 1 regular table or 4 regular tables.
-Sessions will be maximum 4 hours a day. After the first two hours, 30 minutes break.
-Daily stoploss limit -2BI.

Here is one example..:icon_thum

Once you have 25 buy-ins for the next highest limit, you can move up to that limit.
If you only have 25 buy-ins for the next lowest limit, you must move down to that limit.

less than $100 NL2(0.01/0.02) $2
less than $250 NL4(0.02/0.04) $4
less than $500 NL10(0.05/0.10) $10
less than $625 NL20(0.10/0.20) $20

it would take forever to move up imo.

30 buyin rules STRICT is fine. and once in a while ( weekend pref. ) give 1-2 buy in a shot to the next limit.

if u succeed the shot. you will skyrocket your bankroll, otherwise after 1-2 shot. come back to your regular limit. and rinse repeat. thats what i did. and i went from nl 10 to nl200 since october. im looking in to play nl400 soon.

good luck
