Whats the best thing to do, when u play very well at one table and suddenly you are moved to another table??You should play more tight or be more aggressive??Of course that im talking about tournament play...
I always like to know they type of player I am facing so I usually play slow for awhile when moved to a new table. It jelps me read the players better and see who is aggressive and who is tight. I will only usually play top five hands until I see four or five flops.
Play premium hands only, at first. Observe the opponents, work out who is exploitable, and allow them to get the impression that you are a tight player. That way, they will be more likely to respect your raises when you do enter a pot.
I like to play a little tighter when moved to another table. I think it always best to get the lay of the land first before going in to battle. But that also depends on what cards I am being delt to. I been moved and started getting better cards at this new table then the one I was at. So the best advice for now is to play your best game and to keep from falling into any traps. The players at your new table will be looking at your stack size and will be just as leary of you as you of them. Which is something that you can exploit as well.
The biggest thing to consider is your stack size in relation to the other (new) table mates. Are you coming in from a table where you were the chip leader (table captain) to a table where you are in the middle or one of the low stacks. Or vice versa.
What I like to do is take the first 3-4 hands to see how the table is playing then based on stack sizes (relative to blinds and opponents) and proximity to the bubble develop the best strategy for the situation.
Of course you kind of hope you don't go card dead right when you move to a new table - not that this just happened to me yesterday or anything
The thing I hate about moving from table to table is when u are moved from blind to blind I even took the Bubble position in one tourn. becaouse of this s^%t...
I always play tight when i get moved to another table. First you need to get a feel for what is happening at another table. Remember that the reason you got moved to that table is because someone else got knocked out. You need to try and find out what manner they where knocked out. What i mean is to find out if the players at the table are playing super fast aggressive or if you have sat down with a lot of sharks!
Second you need to re establish a table image and third you need to find the donks at the table to exploit.
The transition is one of the toughest parts of tournament for me. You have to play it smart in the beginning. But remember those at the table you arrive at are at a disadvantage. They have no idea how to read you, so if the hands are good, take their money. Otherwise, sit back and play tight till you become comfortable with reading the players your playing.
i absolutely hate moving tables..you will catch fire and got good reads on all your opponents and then you get moved..i hate it.
i usually play tight though until i figure the table out..also have u noticed or mayb its just me..if your like medium stack they always put u at a table that has more high stacks and if your low stack they put u at a low stacked table and if your high stacked your usually the only high stack by far at thet able?
