I am just talking the overall in your face display stats. Please give me in your guys opinion the most overall important stats. I need to change my hud, to be the most user friendly, and at this time I'm not sure if that is the case. I am probably one of the few that actually liked holdem manager 1 over 2. There are just so many stats and I knew where everything was, holdem manager 2 definitely not the case.

Well I guess it somewhat depends on your style of play. I have customized my HUD to help me with areas I found troublesome in my games (donk bets in particular).

There are many blogs/articles about HUD configurations (Google is your friend).

finding the stats you care about is just a matter of examining the software for a while. and who knows, in that process you just might discover something extremely useful :)

as LD said, you should personalize your HUD so that it works best for you: either gear it towards the spots that you either have trouble in, or that you think will come up most often.

For 2NL,5NL you only need 3 stats VPIP/PFR/AG. You have to select between fish , TAGs and NITS. No need of something else because you will rarely have more than 100 hands over someone . 90% of the ppl there you will see only for 1 session.

I agree that those stats will do for the most part but I have 1000+ hands on quite a few regs, and 3000 on a couple of them and it's important to know who 3bets 6% and who 3bets 2%. Also on the smaller sites you will probably rack up quite a few hands vs villains, even at the micro levels.

Man you should leave those software stuff. I mean your objective should be to get better at the game. If you want to get better, then go read some poker books, watch poker after dark... go play some live games! WOW live games are the best for learning. Why? because you go through every hand slowly! You watch what everyone does and put them on something and see if they got it or not. You form steriotypes of the ppl and see if that eventually comes to be true, and use it against them. I mean you can do the same on online games, but the live games are more effective and keep you hoocked easier.

I've spent way more hours playing live, then on the internet 1/3 and 2/5 and a little of 5/10 our 2/5 game is basically a 5/10 game with the changes made. I just need to change up my hud set up a little bit. It depends on the game live to, some days at our casino the whole table or even tables is a nit fest. I would rather be at home then raking 4 dollars after I raise. As for improving you need to look at any edge you can get, that can further help your game out.

I'd have as a minimum:-

VPIP/PFR/3bet/F3bet/Hands
ATS/FTS/Cbet/FCbet

3bet = How often villain 3bets preflop
F3bet = How often villain folds to a 3bet preflop
ATS = Attempt to Steal (when villain opens from the CO onwards)
FTS = Fold to Steal (when villain folds the blinds to a CO onwards open)
Cbet = How often villain continuation bets as the PFR
FCbet = How often villain folds to a cbet

Obviously opinions will vary and there are way more stats you could have on your HUD, but perhaps next what you do is if you find yourself constantly pulling up a pop up to check something, like for example how often villain donks, then consider putting that into your HUD too.

Mine are;

PFR/VPIP/HANDS
3B/F3B/4B
Steal/CB/FCB
FoldSteal/Donk/FoldDonkBet (best stat vs nitty regs imo)

I'm still new to cash games, so likely mine will change at some point.

I play 6max so I can probably fit a few more on than Logan :)

However, I still rather extensively use pop ups, BvB, 3bet pots, etc.

xs31.jpg

VPIP / PFR / AF / Donk / Hands
FTS / 3bet / Sqz / F3bet / 4bet
RFI UTG / MP / CO / BTN / SB
Fcbet / Tcbet / Rcbet / FFcbet / FTcbet / FRcbet

Use that and you will start winning; the Cafeman guarantee.

Lol I doubt most of the ppl on the forum know how to use half of those stats. They might be usefull for 25NL and above but for micros they are simply something colored to look at. Every single one of those stats are a big chapter in a poker book.
My advise for beginners is to not bother with all of them and focus on ABC poker that requires only the first 2 lines without squeeze and 4-bet.

PS. Are those the stats from Vermeer book?

That all looks very reasonable, but how do you use that in your games?
Obviously, if someonme folds a lot on the river it's a chaser, but what if someone 4bets a lot for example? Would you reduce your 3betting in that case?
I mean it's clear, these stats give you a lot of info about villain's playing style, but how do you adjust your game?
