I just started playing in a 2/4 NL game and the blinds are not indicative of the overall money being played. Pots are routinely anywhere between 2-10K. These guys have money to burn which is great for me because I can use my superior poker playing to take it from them!

Now having said that, even though I've won so far, I would like to play more than once a week and not have such a stressful game. I would like to practice more with lower stakes seeing as how I'm just now getting back into the game after 10 years off basically. Even though it feels like riding a bike, it's like any other sport, you can get rusty and I know my game is not in perfect shape (although it's technically not possible, but you know what I mean).

So, what are some good ways to practice outside of this high stakes game?

Thanks for the suggestions!

I've played a little bit of low stakes online but it's such a different kind of game. I'm looking for something that will simulate more like my regular game. Thanks for the suggestion though

Can you play on Stars? Not sure if you're American. The 6max deepstack cash tables on a Friday or Saturday evening are very loose and fishy.

Even if you can't play Stars there may be a US friendly site with deep tables where play is normally looser than on 100bb tables.

If your a medium stake, live player, I would not recommend you to practice low stake and online.

Look for a casino or local poker club near you.
