My biggest problems with cash games is I will win a few small pots then end up losing it all on 1 hand. Is there any percentage if winnings I should leave the table with. Cause it seems that I am so inundated with tourney play. It seems to me I have a very hard time leaving less I'm busted lol.

keep workng at it! cash and tourny is very different.

but I will say that cash players make better MTT players (within certain parameters-and an understanding of mtt dynamics), if you are willing to play cash exclusively and learn the game thru playing ring, you will have a big advantage.

This has always been my problem, staying too long. I think it may be more of a getting too much money in on marginal hands type of play though. I would say that if you set a limit on yourself then stuck to it you will always come out ahead in the long run. Say +20% of buy-in will not make you rich but will keep you from "just a little more then I'll quit" mentality. Of course there are exceptions like very fishy tables that promise big returns or 2 LAG's that can't lay down hands. The biggest problem comes from the "I'm down 75% of my buy in and need to make some back", then you win a little and think "OK if I can just win one more decent pot". That's been my problem and probably many others problem also.

There is no reason to leave a table just because you have won a certain amount. If you are beginner though, and you aren't comfortable playing deep-stacked, leave when you have doubled your starting stack.

There is a lot to learn with cash games so start at the lowest possible limits.

Yes but if I start at the penny table it seems they go all in with any thing. Not really caring if they lose there buck fifty. I guess all in at cash tables should be avoided. I really like playing flops but there seems to be so many players raising preflop like 10 times the BB. and then they show down with 23 or some crap. I was thinking about just sitting and waiting at tables until I get AK AQ or a pair and then just shoving. But only two things could happen. I could get beat and lose my stack or no one would call and I'd make like 6 cents on a gh. I guess I really do need some practice but I do not think the penny table is the place to do it.

I don't know what site you are playing at but I can tell you it is nothing like that at Stars 2NL tables.

Sorry but it sounds like you have a lot to learn about cash games. And for this reason it would be a very bad idea for you to play anything but the lowest stakes. If you cant win there, you won't be able to win at higher stakes.

If you see a villain going all in with any old crap then just wait for a good hand and take their stack. Easy money. These maniacs are the easiest villains to play against.

As for you when you have a good hand, raise like 4-5BB (10BB is ridiculous) instead of shoving.
