We can see los of basic mistake what beginner will make. Like

1: too loose in cg or too tight in MTT, SNG. In cg, we aware of hand range balance, basically play some quality hand. In MTT, we need to protect our blood and finds dome way to steal opponent's blood

2: not aware self range problem. It can effect your rate of success in valuing and bluffing. Sometime beginner just play on same patterns. Like always 3 bet AK, ,limping pocket etc.

3: not act as a optimal % about all action. For example not folding or bluffing in a perfect %, it need to be aware self and opponent's range.

My opinion is that with beginners it's not always good and easy to play. It's pretty hard to read their hands - if they play them often - especially on small stakes.
The higher the rate, the less likely it is to meet an amateur or a beginner - and there is usually a more adequate game

One simple mistake is limping into a hand when you have a big starting hand and getting beat on the river to a hand that would have folded with a sizeable bet at the start of the hand

There really are too many mistakes to list on a forum post. But to put it very simply, it is a mistake to play Poker passively. Checking, calling and folding a lot instead of playing solid aggressive Poker. Betting and raising is the only way to get real information from opponents.. Calling their bets and checking to them enables them to continuing lying to you on each street. Raising forces them to reveal the strength of their hand and allows you to take control.

The main mistakes in poker, which I noticed:
1. Playing too many hands.
2. Wrong bet size.
3. The influence of emotions on the game.
4. A game without position.
5. Too much bluff.

In fact, mistakes in poker are even bigger. Just need to play quality poker.

squizing too small. = granting too great odds

Just made a stupid mistake after a nice call:
Called a smalish sqz with 99(ip), hit the set on the flop T97ss. sqzer check called my 2/3p bet, turn Ks, sqzer check snap calls my shove and shows KK, run it twice river —i think shoving flop would be better in a situation like this. Ri2 turn and river, normaly i think im gonna win both runs and when he hits his bigger set its at least a tie...

Most new players play hands that most experienced players have no interest in.

The absolute worst players are the ones who play too passively.

You should always play aggressively in poker. One of the best ways to increase your aggression is to frequently bet or raise your draws. Playing a draw aggressively will give you two ways to win the hand: either by making your opponents fold or by hitting your draw.

Playing too many starting hands. This is not strictly a trait of passive players but they tend to exhibit it very frequently. When you play too many weak hands you will find yourself losing against stronger hands on a regular basis. The only way to offset the disadvantage in hand strength is by finding other ways to win the pot post-flop, i.e. bluffing

The first most common is to watch a lot of flops.
The second - try to collect a combination of holey straights.

The mistakes I notice:

1. Size an opening bet depending on strength of their hands
2. Play to many hands
3. Bet sizing
4. More tells than normal
5. Position is almost non-existent

The three biggest mistakes people make are:

1. Playing too many hands. This mistake alone automatically generate two more mistakes:
2. Calling too much by the showdown, and
3. Folding too much before the showdown

So, if you make the mistake #1 of playing too many hands, you will get yourself in an untenable position. Just because you know there is a fairly good chance that you have your opponent beaten early in the hand does not mean you should call his bet. You can’t stop more cards from coming. And if your hand has little chance to improve significantly, you may very well be in an untenable situation. Namely one where your only hope is that you have the best hand now and that it stands up. Not taking into account the possibility your opponent can draw out on you as well as have you beat already will have you playing many hands you should throw away. For instance, if your hand has a thirty percent chance of being best now, but there is a one-third chance he will improve his losing hand to a winning hand, your actual chance of winning the pot is 20%.

THIS^^

To add, I think the worst mistake is that people call more than they bet or fold. IMO 90% of hands should be folded. 9% should be bet or raised, 1% should be called. This is all Pre-flop of course.

I agree about playing too many hands. I think the next main mistake is not adapting to play more conservatively or liberally depending on position, other players, type of game, rank....

beginner

It's a proper thing, but a beginner can't do a situation judgement of the position or number of people.
