When playing online in a zoom or normal money game is it generally best to come in with minimum or the maximum amount of funds you can bring to table?

Maximum of 100bb, since stars doesn't have deepstack tables anymore. Buying in for a shortstack is a viable option if you plan is to be a shortstacker on the cash tables but if you have an edge on the competition then you should buyin for and remain auto topped up to 100bb's.

The size of your stack will generally impact the strategy you should be playing by, the deeper your stack the more post flop play will be involved and the more streets of play so will involve a higher skill level to play optimally.

Personally i tend to flag shortstackers as many can be a hit and run type, double up their shortstack and leave so would give them less action without a stronger hand (unless they also a complete fish, in which case I enjoy taking away their shortstack multiple times if they stick around and they don't run like god on me rofl)

Maximum. You want to maximize your winnings. It's always better to win 100bbs than 40bbs.

I look at my bankroll and look at what rates I will play, when I have a normal bankroll, then I take a maximum of money for a table and when I have a small bankroll, I take a minimum of money on the table or a little more and try to win and create more!

I agree with you. In my opinion, every disciplined player should have a financial spending limit per day. With such a limit, we can clearly control financial risks.

I actually do not play cash games. Tournaments I like a lot more. In addition, I always lose in cash games. But in any case, you have to understand what amount of money you can use for the game in order not to risk too much.

Its better to buy in max. You have a lot more control of the game and you have different ways of playing. When you buy in on minimum its harder and you need to play tight and aggressive where when you play with max buy in you can switch through strategies. Sometimes i like to play with minimum buy in just to polish my game in those kind of situations.

good afternoon group .. in my opinion it is better to enter with the maximum. Having 100BB always gives you an advantage over shorter stacks. and you go for more profit range, the goal is to get the highest possible profit. regards....

Sometimes when playing online in normal money game I start playing with the minimum amount of funds you can bring to table but sometimes it backfires on me because some players try to push me around.

Always the max buyin for me. If you think you are the best player at the table (which you absolutely should), then you will maximize your winnings by having the most amount of money in front of you.

I always go with the minimum buy in pretty much because my bank roll isn’t that big so it doesn’t hurt it and you can use the rest to enter tournaments and other stuff

I always believe the table you go to the max should be what you bring. If I bring less then I take away a weapon.

Maximun buy in

I think it is always better to enter with the maximum allowed, on the other hand, the table where you decide to play must be commensurate with the total amount of your bankroll.

I usually do a maximum buy-in for 100bb. I think that's the "typical" amount. If you do a minimum buy in you need to use a short stack strategy which includes shoving on players with deeper stacks preflop in the right spots. I've never really researched how to short stack in cash games but I've heard it's hard to do correctly but can be very effective. I think it might be a bit of a higher variance style of play as well.

Of course, it,s better to have the maximum allowed buy-in, because if you will have too low balance, other people will raise you really often.

I've heard it's a big disadvantage if someone buys in for the minimum. I kind of like buying in for the minimum because I can wait for a big hand and someone will call with garbage.

This, there is nothing that puts the fear into a big stack than running into some fool with hardly any chips. Also if you buy in with the minimum & hit a big hand like poc A's, you are saved the trauma of losing a bunch to a suck out.

Att: just kidding, if you can't afford to lose the maximum buy in, you shouldn't be at the table.

I always opt for the max buyin. Don't like being short and like the fact I can play short stacks aggressively.
