They're kind of annoying. I mostly treat them as if they'd called, but what do you all think? Does it change your bet sizing? Does it tend to be the sign of a particular kind of player?

I think it makes some people up their re raise , the fact it annoys some people is why I min raise with top hands sometimes. If you were attaching a style to a "constant " min raiser it may be a sign of a nit or fish ...

Since I play micros on Bovada I mostly just assume a minraise to be a monster and fold a lot to them. People bluff raising the min does not happen often, if ever, at the microstakes.

I play on Bovada too. Postflop, yeah, I've seen lots of people at NL5 bet .05 and .10 all the way down with a monster, but I've also noticed the occasional player who only enters the pot preflop with a min-raise.

Oh, you mean preflop limpers and people that bet the min on the flop? I thought you meant people that 3 bet min raise or minraise your bet all together

People that bet the min usually are not strong and are just putting that bet out to get cheap draw/showdown/turn.

Just take a min bet as a check pretty much. Continue with your plan and if they get crazy aggressive suddenly, watch out.

It's not one size fits all. Different players min-bet with different ranges, so your job is to figure what the range is for each player.

myself depends on the player mid raising.. depends what I figure out their betting patterns are..

some people min raise becuase they dont know any better.. especially if they are moving up from limit to no limit.
some people min raise on good draws. Kind of a build of a pot type of thing in case they hit. Some people mid raise when they have a monster. give you the correct odds of a possible draw that if you hit will be no good. also to build up the pot.
some people do wen they have nothing just to see if they can steal a pot.

so really depends on the person doing the re-raise
