You could simply say ... I found 2nl like stealing candy from a baby. 5nl I lost and felt everyone just called and sucked out. 10nl full of nits.

Anyways that's just an example. I'm currently doing 4nl and winning more than 2nl.. Looking to climb up to 10nl by the end of the year. Looking to jump to 6nl in the next month.

It stands to reason that 25NL would be the hardest microstakes level

0NLH is the hardest!!!

I have always built up from freerolls a BR to play with, if it didn't happen then it wasn't meant to be.

^ is 50NL microstakes though, or is it low stakes?

In any case the point I the same, that the higher the buy in the tougher the game

Yeah, what you meant, I agree with.

I dunno, on 2+2 it's 50NL and below, so I've always just thought of it like that.

Micros: 2NL - 50NL
Small stakes: 100NL and 200NL
Medium stakes: 400NL - 1000NL
High stakes: everything above Medium

That would probably make sense actually since then everything under $1 blinds would be microstakes. I guess though that 50NL is probably at about the point when the aggression factor gets ramped up and you need to mix up your play. That's just my guess though, I could be mistaken

Question out of curiosity,
has anyone played outside the micros online just to experience the difference?

their are good players at every stake level. there are players on this board who I have no doubt have the same if not better knowledge than alot of 50NL grinders and some are playing 10NL or 5NL.

my guess and this is a guess would be, any players who are struggling at 25 nl or 50NL potentially wont make plays outside their comfort zone which they need to get comfortable doing -
such as floating enough, paying attention to table image etc really paying more attention to detail rather than right and wrong plays (these are just specific examples) theirs tons of stuff we could all come up with really we could probably have a whole book on it (and people do) Lol

I've played all levels but only really started to grind from 2nl up this year... bout to jump to 4nl to 6nl in November :)

But I found 4nl so much easier than 2nl... Not sure why but people seem to be way more over protective with their $2 than the $4... I guess people trying to scare me off pots but really Christmas is just coming early! :)

I've always been told on here and everywhere that basically 2nl should be easiest and each level should get harder as you get higher... But when I did play a bunch of different levels I set a 20 dollar challenge to see how high I could get with an aggressive 3buy-in strat... This was a while back before I maintained proper BRM but I had reached 300 and was playing the royal flush feature 888 offers.

Funny enough I found 20nl and 30nl a joke because I could LAG all day with them and they were so unpredictable... I didn't play long term though and I know things change as you play over a period time :) ... I just think it's possible that other levels could be easier/harder... Like for me the scare money just isn't there i'd play 2nl like I would 100nl... WHat I mean is i'd adapt according to the players and if I feel good about the hand I have no quarrels going for the win and putting it all in. That is a strength but also we know it's a weakness...

Thanks for your feedback and keep it coming. Be as honest as possible and don't be shy :)

I've played all the micro levels (except 50nl if were counting that) and 25nl was definitely the hardest

TBH ive also played all levels, 2NL is the hardest to play because your rarely playing anyone with a good standard of play, so is way harder to put a read on them which you'd put on a solid player. Then I'd say 50NL [if considered micro] followed by 25NL, then 5NL as thats just full of nits IMO but i guess i don't play that as much so cant really have a solid opinion. Tbh, I much much prefer playing $1/$2, like playing a game where I can actually play my game safely putting good reads on people etc. Also makes me more focused and so play better myself to get better value if hitting cards and all that jazz.

50NL is the hardest. The hardest I've played is 25NL as I haven't played 50NL.
There is no other answer.

there you have it

if you consider 100 to be micros, 100 is hardest. the highest "micro" limit is going to be the hardest obv

I think it is safe to say the higher the stake the harder the play. In this case if you consider 25NL the top of the stake then it would be 25NL. If it is 50NL then 50NL is... Either case the higher the stake, the tougher the play in my opinion. There is a considerable difference between 25NL and 50NL play.
