Hey everyone, just wondering what the general considerations are for selecting a juicy table at the .01/.02 NL cash game tables on Full Tilt. What are the values of average pot, Plr/Flp, and H/hr that I should be looking for? I would imagine that for all three the higher the better (meaning a loose table easier to exploit) but I'm not 100% sure. Any thoughts or considerations would be greatly appreciated.

Best of luck to you out there!

Find a table where everyone has bought in for full stacks. I think that is the most you can hope for.

I always look for tables that have have Plr/Flp over 40%. You know it will be an action table

This works very well, especially if you play TAG style. Also, like the first poster said, try to stay away from short stacks.

Also, it might pay to observe a table for a few rounds and see if you can see any fish, and get notes on people. Do you use Poker Tracker? It did wonders for my cash games, and allowed me to play accordingly while multi tabling.

An action table -- lots of players in every hand, bigger pots -- is great if you are a tight aggressive smart player. A conservative table, full of rocks, is better (albeit less profitable) if you are looser -- you can grab a lot more pots with aggression but you need to remember to back off if the mouse plays hard.

Also, people will drop out as you play, and the nature of the table may change. Keep an eye on that, and switch up your play accordingly.

Most of the micros will have at least one loose-aggressive player, and at least one who likes to shove. Many of the people who will shove do wait for premium hands; some will shove because they saw it on TV and want to do it. And, hey, it's only a buck! But those bucks add up. So the micro tables can be pretty swingy. I'd advise not mixing it up until you get a handle on the others -- and call those shoves sparingly.

Some of those tables are, surprisingly, half full of sharks. Don't assume you will be the best player there.

I actually just posted the same question not long ago so Ill pass on the best advice I recieved.

One of the best things to try and do is watch the table and seat yourself with the loose weak people to your right and the tight people to your left.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the words of advice everyone! I've used them and so far am showing a profit of 100 BBs over my first 2 hours. Not great, but it's a good start I think. I've been able to quickly pick up on who the rocks and who the donks are. And boy are those shortstackers annoying. But if your timing is right, you can smack 'em down hard. Thanks again for helping me out, and good luck at the tables!

Exactly, just don't get impatient and try to stack off with a marginal hand.;)

The best way to win is patience. People are often sitting with a few bucks and call everything. Wait for a middle or better hand and take them out!!
