Hey dudes,

So I recently moved back to FR NL, currently playing 2nl @ FTP with a $70 roll, I know that FX and acky100 are both playing micro FR too so thought it might be a good idea to get a group of us together to talk about the micro limit FR games.

No beats or anything like that, theres a BBV section for that, and no poop/random chat, theres a chat thread for that, this would be just us talking about poker, specifically micro FR and how we are finding the games, what kinda spots we're getting into that are giving us trouble, how we pick tables etc etc.

We could all exchange MSN/AIM/skype details and talk over there, set up sweats etc, and we could possibly have a thread too, although HA might be a better place to talk about specific hands as the better players on CC will get a chance to chime in with their advice and will probably not give a Micro FR thread a look in.

Hopefully theres some interest in this, I know that back in the day CC had a core group of players that talked a lot on the same level and all progressed nicely up the limits into successful players, hopefully this is where this group could go. I've not got a shedload of spare time, got a FT job and young family, but i just feel like i need to be doing more poker talk and getting focused rather than hanging out in the chat thread all the time :D

Cool, thats 2 members at least! Good that you live in the UK as well b/c it'll be handy for sweats rather than having to work out time differences. Are you on AIM or MSN?

Cheers, I played 6max for a while, even gave 6max PLO a crack but I can't handle the variance at all lol

I'm in.

Also All-In-Clubs would be a good candidate and a new member, Dogmeat. I know Patty R likes to play FR uNL. I'm sure missing someone here.

I think using Hand Histories as a platform for launching discussions would be great. Maybe we could also spin off some of the 2+2 COTW's in their Micro full full ring subforum.

I too have a family, work FT,etc. but I always make time for Poker and Cc.

I agree with the no poop, no pics, no vids and no talk about how drunk we all got last night (as I think it assumed that most of us did! :p )

Yeah the COTW could provide us with something to discuss on a regular basis, another thing that would give each of us the chance for some feedback on hands would be to, in turns, post all of the HH for the last, say, 4 sessions hands where VPIP = True and Final pot size is >20 <60bb's and get feedback on where we have missed value or took a bad line, like bet/folded when we could have just checked it back, cbet when we shouldnt have, double barreled etc, I feel like for me these are the spots where I lose the most, but they go unoticed generally b/c they're small wins/loses.

Took a bit of a long winded way to explain that but hopefully it makes sense lol

I'd really love to participate, even though I'm playing mainly 6-max as of late, I have always found any sort of poker analysis useful. I especially like fx's insights.

We can also make our home games cash club if you guys would like, that way we can both chat and play and comment on our game, moves, odds, bluffs and so on.

We can schedule one game per week, which will be in a convenient enough time for most of the members. More games can be added if there are enough interested. I think it'd be really cool, since the only time I really get to chat about poker in real time is when I'm playing live, and that doesn't seem to happen all that often as of late. I am in GMT +2, so I'll be able to keep up with the British dudes most of the time.

I'm sure more great ideas will come up as the thread progresses, but I really like the idea so far.

EDIT: I got what, I think, at least, is a great idea. I don't know if I'll be able to explain it really well but I'll at least try. If you have watched Cardrunners' crushing the micros series, you'll probably see where I'm going right away.

So, someone will be on teamviewer broadcasting his desktop. We'll all be on skype in a group chat at that time. That someone who is broadcasting his desktop could go through 5-10 interesting hands he got for the day or week or whatever, and we would all discuss and chime in and so on.

For example we can do this on Saturdays, everyone picks 10 interesting hands from the passing week and we all rotate, everyone will get to broadcast and watch in one session. I don't really know if this would work but it sound great in theory.

I couldn't get all the >20bb<60bb wins/losses from the past 4 sessions but here a bunch.

I'd like to join in too, I'm currently playing FR 4nl at Victor Chandler and occasionally 10nl at Pokestars and Full Tilt. I built up a decent bankroll from MTT's and SnG but got fed up with the variance playing tournaments so recently have been working on my cash game. While I easily break even I would love to be more consistently profitable.

This sounds like a great idea and something I would be interested in. I play 2NL FR at FTP, pretty much break even over 75k hands (~2BB/100) so I definitely feel I need to work on my game.

Im in Michigan, US so EST and I am very flexible with when I can be online. I am willing to d/l and exchange screen names for AIM/MSN/etc. Will be checking in with this thread for updates.

I just moved back to FT and FR, starting at 2nl, currently played 4300 hands and made 12.5 Bi's, obv running hot but i've played 10nl FR before so its not all good luck i'm sure, but anyways, atm im well qualified to help you out and I think i could have you winning there in no time.

FX, i was thinking more like exporting them and putting them all in a txt file so that we could each set up a seperate db for analysis and import them in, then you can see stats etc and get a better picture imo. Also clogs a thread up less (dont think this will be the thread btw, was just trying to gauge interest)

Really glad this thread has got a lot of love, I feel like we're onto a good thing, and 2 players from the UK as well :D

Cool, thats 2 members at least! Good that you live in the UK as well b/c it'll be handy for sweats rather than having to work out time differences. Are you on AIM or MSN?

oops dunno how i missed this post, yeah i noticed you were in the UK so as you say times for sweats or whatever will be good! Ive got an msn account yeah but ill download whatevers gonna be the best for us all when we decide. I like the idea of HH idea also.

Cash game on home games as someone mentioned sounds interesting but as we're all probably Tight Aggressive players then i dont know how this would simulate real 2/5/10 NL unless we invite a few 50/30's in with us haha. Although im sure we could learn something

Ok, I know there was a discussion about saving HH's to a big file but I don't remember the outcome. If someone knows if HH's can be exported en masse into a .txt please let us know.

Would we then e-mail them back and forth or put on Rapidshare or do you have another idea on this?

Power down your PC and when it first boots hit F8 repeatedly really fast until you get the setup menu. Then select system restore and then restore you computer to a date before you noticed the virus. Then get an anti-virus program and clean up your laptop.

power down your

Yeah i dont think the home games thing would work very well, im not on PS for a start and i'm sure others arent either, plus, like you say, we all play the same way so it would just be full of coolers imo.

Yeah you can do it in HEM for sure, not sure about PT, i'll have a look, we would then just prob stick the txt file on rapidshare or something for everyone to d/l, then people can do whatever with them, do a video review, talk about them in here, its gotta be in turns though as it'll just end up as a big gangf**k if everyone is reviewing loads of different peoples, plus you'll get more focused analysis if yours are the only HH being reviewed???

Doesnt look like theres a way to export filtered hands in PT3 yet, which sucks as it is super easy in HEM, people who use HEM can use that method, we'll have to think of something else to do for people who use PT3, maybe a skype teamviewer review session like dogmeat touched on.

So, this is a list of programs people need to d/l to take part in as much as they can.

MSN

or

AIM

Skype

Teamviewer

I'll PM the people who have shown interest so far my details and others can reply with theirs, just to keep stuff like that off a public forum lol

thanks for that. It's funny, i was just cruising through the start menu to see if there was anything i could do (before i saw your post) and while i was in safe mode i saw the restore to a certain date and i did it and the virus is gone!!
