Gonna try this and see what happens.
A few of us have our own cash threads, updating every day or so, so I thought why not get all of us in one thread, where we update, discuss hands, and offer/ask for opinions on cash game problems.
Everyone is welcome, whether you're 2nl one tabling, or 25nl multi-tabling, we're particularly interested in new people to either CC, or cash in general(like me!)
At the start of each month i ask that you post previous months graph if you have one, your current BR(if you wish to), and your goals for this month.
If you have your own cash thread feel free to link it to here, as this can just be updated by you when you like, whereas most of us update our own threads every session we play.
If you're new to CC or this thread can I also ask you to post why you're in this thread.
(And dont worry if you dont know all the poker lingo/terms, the easier for everyone to understand the better!)
OK, I'll start:

My total online BR as of 2 Oct 2011 was $542.25 (http://kerouacsdogblog.blogspot.com/).
My BR for playing cash as of now: 159.25 euros($214)
Currently playing 4nl, and taking shots at 10nl, 2-4 tables at unibet.

Will find my graph later. Just joined unibet 2 days ago, so finding my way around at 4nl, before jumping into taking shots at 10nl. Will give it a week, see what rb i get(also have a nice bonus there, see how that goes), If I dont like the site Im moving $200 to PS and grinding 5nl and shot-taking 10nl there.

oh, my cash thread: https://www.cardschat.com/forum/cash-games-11/

Goals:1. find a site and stick with ityes. trying unibet for a week, if its crap etc, gonna move permantly to PokerStars yesand grind $220 there, at 10nlprob at the bottom of BRM scale but i'm cool with it
2. Get some volume in this month, hopefull at the very least an hour a day
3. reread harington on cash volume oneH on cash game vol.1&2 is def not for micro online play.To be honest i wouldn't waste my time rereading it.
4.get to 10nl permantly by end of month, and collect all my br from all sites and be rolled for 25nl hopefullybig goal i would set one like play 10,000+ hands and have 3bb+per 100.Just a better goal imo.
Over all i like the idea of combining all of your idea's, goals etc. in one thread.

I'm in :D

I think it's a good idea for discussing hands and progress etc instead of us all having our own separate micro cash-game threads.

My bankroll: $234
Goals for month: win a good few buy-ins at the 5NL 6max tables

I played 50nl at UB a few mins ago, when I only have $120 there, but Ive played 50nl before and higher, so Im not scared by the prospect. I was rolled for 50nl at one time but needed money for real-life, but saying that Im happy as larry playing 2nl or whatever as long as its poker!
Over all i like the idea of combining all of your idea's, goals etc. in one thread. yeah lets hope it works out ok

H on cash games is focused on high limit deep stack live cash games.I didn't find to much helpfu informationl in the book.I could be wrong though.I would start by reading an rereading one of the COTW threads and trying one concept out for a week or so then trying another and so on.
6max 24\22 is solid over all

They say the ideal for 6max is something like 22/17 (VPIP/PFR) but you can be successful playing both tighter or looser than that. Depends if you have a nitty style or a looser style...I am 20/13 over my last 6K hands at 5NL but I know that I need to try to get my VPIP and PFR a bit closer together.

September graph shows my first "OMG I HAZ SKILLZ!" month and October is showing it was not just a heater.

4sgw1w.png

My BR is currently at ~110$. I have no objectives for October (personal life a bit messed up) but keep playing and tunning my game. I want to be more selectively aggressive with regs since I'm not sorting those right now, just fish.

There's one 'if' that I plan: If I get a BR of $140 I'll start opening 5NL tables but I'll only move definetelly when my personal stuff is sorted and I can concentrate and, more important, review properly.

I'll post here when there's something relevant and naturally discuss other players posts. Good initiative KD!

Dont try and reach anything, take advantage of spots when you can, give up when you think its better, fold pre when you think it's going to get you into trouble not to, basically dont worry if you're a 18/15 or 27/23, Just use the numbers as a pointer so if you see something like 20/11, you might realise you're too passive.

Why exactly? Does making your stats closer make you a better player?

Here's how I see it: let's say that for a month I would sit in tables full of nits. My stats would be something like 50/35 cbet 100% and probably be stealing blinds from UTG. :) BB/100 would be low but I can't see how I could loose in the long run. Would that mean I was a worse player than a 20/17 that is 20/17 just because he plays the same (and often too bluffy) way?

I think we are all obsessed with stats. The thread about coloring players according to stats proves that point. There are so many 20/17 at micros that are awful players.

I wouldn't look for a session of a certain stat line either.Over a lot of hands though i think it's good to be shooting for a certain stat range.I mean if you just keep playing like you play and don't try to adjust it's just bad.So if for 2 weeks your playing 20\11 or 30\19 you should try to adjust imo.

ok, thanks acky. Ive never bothered about my stats too much, but then i read 'oh you should be this, and you should be that' but my game depends on how I feel when I sit at a table, do i wanna play loose and more hands, or do I wanna tighten up and play premium. these factors depend largely on how the table is playing, ie if its tight i loosen up more, if its loose I play premium.

Yeah joe thats what im trying to say, it doesn't matter if you're nitty (being a nit isn't a bad thing) or very TAG, just play the tables. Some tables im happy to be a 20/5, 30/25, 7/7 etc, but after a couple of k hands i might be a bit worried if im coming out as 20/11 or 30/19.

edit: Yeah KD that's how you should think about it!

I agree you can have awful 20/17 players but I still think colour coding is great for identifying people who are like 75/5, because they are obviously massive donks and I want to be able to see that in the lobby and sit at those tables!! I wouldn't choose to sit on a table full of nits either, again, colour coding is useful. Why would you want to spend the whole time stealing adn achieving a low BB/100?

do you see enough colour-coded players that when you check any table you'll find a few you like/dislike? what Im saying is that pokerstars have so many players online, is it worth colour-coding them ie do you run into those same players often???? thats kinda what partly puts me off PS. I like to play a site where I regularly meet the same fish and avoid the same sharks.
