So guys....it appears nobody is on here anymore because of that horrendous unspeakable day. People from the US from this site are starting to deposit into other sites so hopefully that will create a little more liveliness into this place other than the last couple weeks. Margo has left us for the time being and seeing that its already May 1st and waking up seeing no new chat thread i decided to make one unless peelio beat me to it

anyways just deposited onto carbon a couple days ago thru WU and all went perfectly so now we have goals:

1. Try to play 2k hands a week with school and exams coming up

2. Attempt to clear bonuses

3. Profit like everyone

4. Study lots

5. May thread gets more than 500 posts

ARggg the Western Union thing just went to set up a online account.Obv it needs to be verified through the mail,in 2 or 3 days.I'll be gone to Ohio so no poker for me at least for 2 weeks.

Totally forgot it was a new month! Right lets make this a good one guys, Aprils been shit for the U.S players and poker for everyone has been impacted by this.

Goals for the month:

1. Hopefully get 2k hands in a week too with exams coming up
2. Keep playing 10nl FR and take a break for 10 mins every time i feel myself tilting, as im sure i can beat the level but i seem to force myself to breakeven and rely on bonuses as i try fancy plays and shit.
3. venture in to 6max to try and improve as a poker player and face more marginal situations.
4. make a video of my standard FR game so someone can criticise

May Day,
My dad died 6 years ago today. The older I get the more I feel that I am getting to be just like him.
It is my next door neighbor Bill's birthday. He is now 48 like me. We drank beer, he fixed my lawnmower, then he brought out the Cabo Wabo Tequila. That is some smooth Reposado shit. I mowed my lawn and I am buzzed.

Yesterday was my son's 1st Little League Game of the year, Friday night was my daughter's Annual Banquet for the swim team. Friday the refrigerator died so all the food is in the beer fridge. New fridge arrives Thursday,
Lots of things going on; Spring is late in Upstate NY.
Next weekend I will start to working on the pool.

I hate to start MAY off with a vid but i belive you need to hear this FX.

So my first venture of 6max is done (go on peeleo, you owe me some abuse) 900 hands down and a WR of 17BB/100
Dont know if that's run good or standard for 2nl, thats including a badbeat, i suppose apart from that everything else played out nicely.

My stats came out as 16/14 is this ridiculously nitty for 6max?? i mean i play 16/14 at full ring. I wasnt exactly trying to be a nit either, on one or two tables i didnt play a single hand over like 30 hands just because there wasnt a good opportunity, could be a bit of variance but i guess i'm a nit :/

I think 16/14 is fine for 6 max. I personally play a bit looser than that i play like 21/18.

16/14 is nifty imo but u were just starting out, could have been card dead I guess but for 2nl you can't rely on fold equity so u need all the pot equity u can get lol

U might be converted just look at some of the hands people post in these threads that just have lolbad villain calls in them, people adjust really badly to 6max and think they need to stack off light as shit, its awesome!

ya one thing ive noticed (switched to 6max 2mnths ago so i know wat ur going thru) is people over value TPTK or even TPMK so much that you can stacks in pretty easily

Yeah i think the great thing about it is, its easier to know when to move tables because you encounter the fish to your right and after x many hands you know if he's gonna leak cash or if he's just playing 57/7 but not actually gonna give you a terrible amount of money post flop.

Yeah thats what i like to hear! oh that's what i was meant to ask some 6max players here; i only have a very vague idea on this so could you give me some vpip boundaries so i can label players i meet there... my system is red for nits, orange for tights , yellows for those in between tight and loose, and green for loose.

e.g. like at FR my tight players are 10-16

cant color code people on carbon for me i think but on FT this was my basic boundaries and people can fix it if they think there wrong

10/9 down=nit (yellow)
18/17-11/10= TAG (dark blue)
20/19-30/29= LAG (red)
31/30-39/38=crazy LAG/fishy (purple)
45/4 etc..=fish (light green)

Thanks for this! Just played some more FR and the tables are so much tighter than when you americans were about! Definitely gonna be messing around with some 6max at lower stakes for a bit, cheers!
