This may be a stupid question but... (help)

So I downloaded an App, apparently better than poker stove. (same thing really)

Now I'm new to this particular 3rd party software, so..

My question is, when putting a player on a range percentage on the app/program, is their VPIP the same / can be used as the same?

Example: Player has 21 VPIP. Would that then mean or can it be used to enter a players Range % on pokerstove and Apps alike as 21% = giving their range?


I've always done range myself mentally, but if I have this I may as well make the best of it.
