What is the max profit you can expect at 1/2 live?

Also, is BB/100 2 big blinds or just one big blind at NLH?

3bb/100 = $3, using your hands per hour number 3 x 3.6 = $10.8 per hour. I believe that's far from a massive winrate.

Playing 6 tables of 6max (which isn't difficult at all once you gain fundamentals) gets you about 500 hands per hour, make a decent winrate of 5bb/100 and you're makng $25 an hour, which is obvs very decent.

What you need to do is start at a lower level, learn to play properly online and move up through the levels. You cannot beat 100nl online so you should play at a level you can beat. 1/2 live is probs equivalent to about 2nl, no joke.

The convenience of online poker will always beat live, live crushes your soul.

So just curious, what level of blinds online are you beating and how many tables do you play? What is your winrate/hr? Thanks!

I would agree that online poker is much more convenient but after getting to the casino the level of play is so ridiculously bad that I believe it's worth it. Rates of approx 15BB/hr are actually very possible live according to what some people have said

Also, using Poker Edge I discovered that some of the best regs on merge have under 5bb (2.3ptbb/100 or so at most)

Just moved up to 10nl and play 6 tables of 6max at a time. 19k hands at 2.7bb/100, 4bb/100 under EV lol. I don't claim to be anywhere near good.

Bonuses are a large part of online winrates too.

I made $20/hr the past 2 years (~700 hours in all) playing live $1/$2. I am not that good of a player, but I play in a juicy game, and I play disproportionately at ideal times (Fri PM, Sat PM, etc.). I think $20/hr would be the max a person could expect if they had to play 40 hours/week. In my ideal situation, with a great game and playing at peak hours only, I am convinced I could make $30-$40 an hour if I was truly a great player.

Appreciate that info! Someone I know claims he makes about $35/hr is that possible?

on 1/2 at FT when they were around, I made a deposit of 160 and came out with 9000 in 4 months. Withdrew about 3 months before the crisis.

Sure its possible, not likely though. 1/2 avg pot is usually around 40 at "big bet" tables...

I think yes, but as I said before, only if you played during ideal times exclusively and in a game with very bad/reckless players.
