I played a 2-2-3 blind structure in California. The $2 on button went direct to house rake with or without auction and a cap of $5. With the blinds it is not a waiting game for good hands as it forces action. I only played in this blind structure about 10 times, but the game appeared beatable.

re: Poker & Make a living playing live at 2-2-3 or 2-2-5 ?
I wouldn't try to make a living of poker. maybe try to make a monthly profit ontop of wha you make but don't give up your job just yet.

Of course you can make a living playing poker, whether online or live.
BUT FIRST - The Big Question - How much have you studied the game? Do you have your undergrad degree, a post-grad degree, your doctorate in poker, or JUST A DREAM?
Most people play recreationally, so finding a table with those players should be profitable for someone with the right poker smarts.
If you are just dreaming about making final tables because you got lucky the first few times you played, then perhaps its time to sit down with your conscience (or your significant other) and decide if you have the determination and aptitude to LEARN the game and the bankroll to fund your studies and apprenticeship.
