Well first of all: are you a winning player?
If you are, how high is your winrate? From there you can then calculate roughly how many hands and/or hours you have to play per month.

In short, you won't make $1,000 a month at 10nl with those criteria.

Lets say you are winning at 10bb/100, which is a very good winrate. Playing 4 tables for 2 hours per day will clock up about 800 hands per day if you're playing 6max, less if full ring. So you'll play about 24K hands per month and make $240. So even with a very good winrate you're nowhere near $1K

winrate ... 7bb/100 ... I have calculated that if i keep playing for 2 hours ... and 4 tables ... 23bb/hour ... 50bb/2hours ... that would be 30$ per 2 hours ... assuming 30 days a month ... wich is 900$ /month ... but my conserns are ... to follow some kinda system that have steps and factors to follow in cash games and only 10NL ... and i know there will be some days i will lose 30$ a day ... maybe 10 days a month ... wich will keep 600$ out of 900$

Um your calculations are way off - 50bb/2hours is $5 per 2 hours, not $30 per 2 hours

Average hands per table is about 100/hour...agree?
Playing 4 tables for 2 hours a day = 800 hands/day
With a winrate of 7bb/100 you are making $5.60/day

If you mean that your winrate will be 7bb/100 on EACH table your winrate is actually 28bb/100, and I seriously doubt you are beating 10nl for 28bb/100 over any sort of decent sample size.

$1k a month consistently would be tough at even 50nl

1k a month pure profit would be incredibly difficult, if you have an absolute ton of volume then rakeback might give you enough extra to be close to that goal.

..in short, you can't make $1k a month at 10nl unless you play ridic volume with a ridic winrate.

aka 2 hours a day won't cut it.

good enough?

edit: and I thought 20bi months at 50nl were pretty standard if you play volume?

Sure it is possible with volume, but 4 tabling 2 hours a day you would need almost 10bb/100 winrate

huh? If I make 7 bb for every 100 hands I play my winrate is 7bb per 100. Playing more tables can only affect your bb/hr. If anything your bb/100 will go down.

You make 0.70 cents per every 100 hands.

you make .007 dollars per hand

$1000 / 60 hours in a month =$16.67 an hour

16,67/.007 = 2381

You need to play 2381 hands an hour to make $16.67 an hour at 7 BB .05/.10

so you need to learn to play 24 tables at once.

If you really need $1000 a month maybe try 12 tables at 4 hours a day?

sigh.

My calculations are solid, end of

edit: if you read what I wrote earlier in the thread you will see that I said it was impossible to make $1K at 10nl with his volume, so you are basically agreeing with me

micro- You are right that 5.60 a day is correct for 800 hands a day @ 7 BB/100. Actually I agree with all your other calculations :)

goal of 1K is low and high. Any profit to begin with would be nice. Get a notebook and write down every session. Results won't be what you are thinking in your head.
after 4-6 years of playing you're goal should be endless but not if playing only two hours per day which I currently do making about $100 weekly. Poker is a game of grinding and two hours per day ain't nothing and will get you nowhere.
Besides notebook keeping players notes will win you money and never deposit.

If you mean that your winrate will be 7bb/100 on EACH table your winrate is actually 28bb/400....
FYP :)
so what are your suggestions? to move up to 25NL... or what
1. if you really need to make $1k every month, find a regular job that pays as much.
2. With your winrate of 7bb/100, you need to play either a LOT of tables for 2 hours a day, or simply play a lot longer than that in order to make anything near that amount.
3. if you want to make $1k in a month, playing 4 tables for 2 hours a day, i would suggest trying 100nl, maybe that would be enough (maybe not). however, be warned that you are at least as likely to lose $1k at 100nl, as to make $1k.

all in all, with the questions you ask, it would seem you have a pretty inadequate understanding of both how poker math works, and what it takes to win reliably in the long term. my general suggestion would be to start finding time to play and study longer, and just see what happens in terms of results. do not start with the expectation to win, and much less do not start with the expectation to win a certain amount for a certain time.

Very true lol, thanks.

I think OP was multiplying his winrate by number of tables and that is why he got such big potential profits from 7bb/100, but of course more tables doesn't affect the winrate, only number of hands.
