My take is that you will find aggressive play more on short tables (6 or less) and limit holdem games. People play cards out of position and raise on low
odds draws so your good hands won't always stand up. On full NL cash games you find people are slow playing preflop and tight aggressive postflop. You can really clean up against tight players if you flop a set or better because they will usually pay you off with their stack. On the short table NL Holdem, you have to play the player instead of the hand and position is not that important. Most players will try to flop big hands and go after tight players. I got away from playing low fixed limit holdem because of the variance and the rake. I have been playing more low level NL holdem. I play to double my stack and then scoot. Full Tilt and
pokerstars have good players, but if you mix up your game between tight and loose, you can still make some money.
bodog is the best site out there for NL especially the 10.00 and 25.00 buyin tables. Lots of gamblers who don't understand poker. Lots of all ins. Wait for the nuts or near nuts in position and you can double or triple your stack.
Absolute poker is the place to play if you like short handed play. The players are rocks and you can push them around unless they get a good hand. You have a tough time getting paid off on big hands unless you trap.
