I personally toss em most of the time.. nice to mix it up.. but they are to me hands that can hurt my chip stack more then help it.

I usually don't invest too much in them. Good to limp in with but that's about it.

Get in cheaply with low cards, otherwise fold, suited or not. They are not worth it!

Thanks I usually toss them but when I'm BB or SB I'll try and catch a flop. Just wanted to make sure I was trying to do something right.

You answered your own question. You really have to worry about kicker problems when you hit anything except the best straight. You always have to worry about better flushes, better kickers when you get a pair (even top pair after the river). You can be dominated in so many ways, I usually will throw things smaller than say 78 even in the small blind.

I make sure I play and show my low card hand even if it loses once in awhile. Otherwise, when the time comes that I really need to push someone out of a pot, and the board has paired low cards or something, they will call if all Ive played is big cards. Also, sometimes If Im playing players that I can really outplay, I can sometimes play low cards and make money. More often than not though, I toss em.

Well , my little word on low cards, i love them. I love having a lot of chips in a tourny and calling a raise with low cards :7c4::8s4:, [3d][4h], :5h4::6h4:, because that means im up against big cards, and if the flop brings low cards , they high ones will usually fire, and when you have two pair or a pair, this can add to your tourny chips :)

if the flop brings

You know how many times "IF" happens on hope, wishing.. about the same amount as should have, could have, and would have.

Thats like saying I'll play em hard hoping that if I get the straight flush, look out... why waste chips on hands that are worst then marginal?

Then what "if" you are again'st 77's and 88's or 99's for that matter?

Then what if that person has AX suited of the same suit you are using?

Love em when I have a big stack. But only play them if there is going to be a family pot. You need good odds and implied odds. Raising preflop with them also means that you have a good idea that you are up against high cards. It doesn't come off that often but when it does the return can be huge. Especially if people bluff strongly at the pot!

I'd suggest tossing them away if you're in a cash game. If you're in a tournament I guess they can be used to show people that you can play any 2 cards. You could lose chips on straight-draws, or top pair/low kicker pretty easily though.
