I have problem. I sit with 30$ on table cash game i lose most of them. When I go down to 4-5$ then I'm already like.. I don't care for those 3,4,5$ it's like nothing. But tomorrow I know it's not nothing. But while I play I go crazy stuff with those money and lose ofc. Rest.

I find my self that I enjoy playing only with big money (for me) like cash game 30-40-50$ sitting on cash game. When I drop down to 7$ I don't appreciate those 7bucks and I go crazy lose with them. how to fix that mind problem? Reality is that even those 7bucks is more then big for me as a student to throu them on gamb game as poker, but I'm a addict.

How to set a mind and reset and appreciate those 7 or 5$ and continue to play real poker as I should.

I find myself in same situation very often. In fact, I've been making my biggest profit sessions from losing 30-75% of my stack first. I am currently investigating what is the pattern there, but my best guess is that it drives me in some kind of hunter mode where I have just few bullets and they gotta hit just right parts of the beast. Then I just try to keep that mode on. Being aggressive (which is true in my case) leads to bigger swings also so try to tighten your range in the beginning and when you get hang of the action, chop them up and pile em.

First you should decide your priorities.

What do you want ?
More money ?
Play well ?
Gamble ?

If you want more money, the poker isn't best thing to do. There are much easier ways to earn.

If you want mastery in poker then learn and play.
If it's getting too easy to win - go up in stakes.
If it's getting too hard to win - go down in stakes.

If you want to gamble, then put aside money you want to lose and play the game that makes you thrill. Play roulette, play blackjack play poker, ...

If you do not control your game - no tips will not be useful to you. You will read many correct words, but what's the use of them?

Consolate yourself with the thought that it is thanks to your money that this entire industry exists. :D

With 7 bucks you can play several tables at once in smaller stakes. In those tables you can be really tight and wait till an aggressive fish to appear. The only way that you have to go down even further in on bankroll is picking a series of bad beats.

It's called tilting and quite a bit has been written about it. Look it up and you'll recognize yourself in it.

Also, stop treating poker as pure gambling. Play at lower stakes first, like $2. Get more experienced before you move up in stakes. No, $2 is not "beneath" you and you can't expect to win at higher stakes, such as $50, when most of those players have you crushed.

If poker is really an addiction for you, then that is your problem and you should consider whether you really want to continue playing when it's clearly bad for you.

Get two or three jobs to support your hobby. Else, stop playing for money but instead play pokerstars for "play money"

When you go to tilt the best it is to take a break, turn off the poker, release a good movie or come out with your friends on beer ... :)

After you are down to $7 just pretend you have no money left on the table and leave.

Gambool!

It sounds like you enjoy the gambling aspect more than you do the mind game/ strategy part. Which isn't that big of a deal if you're just playing for fun but if you ever want to take the game itself seriously you have to take any stakes you play at seriously.

Things are after-all transitioning to a GTO mentality where it doesn't matter what the stakes are, they've become, if anything, just a measure of how well you understand GTO principles and each level represents a more complex understanding.

As far as help goes, maybe you set aside a certain part of your deposit to gamble for fun and another as an actual bankroll for playing microstakes. When you get bored hit up the high buyins. If you win keep it for next time, if you loose hit back the stakes you're grinding at till you get better/feel comfortable with another shot

....and if you use your microbankroll for another bullet... you may have a gambling problem but hey if you can afford it man just have fun :)

That's why some play tournaments. You can lose only your buy in. Not whole bankroll.

Just take a break when you feel tilt.

Get off the computer, or up from the poker room table........

and go get a cup of coffee, go outside, look up at the sky, appreciate the fact that you're a living being with a brain.
Then ...breathe...breathe....breathe.....
and tell yourself.....
tomorrow I will be in the zone when I hit those tables.

And just enjoy the rest of the day you have left before you go to sleep.

Just walk away...with THAT goal in your sights.

The goal to go get a cup of coffee, or a shot of Crown Royal, or Tom Collins, or great glass of Vodka, or a ice cold beer..........and take a walk outside, to look around and remember you are alive, the world is good, and tomorrow....you are going to zone in before you sit down.

Do that BEFORE your bankroll takes a hard hit.
Do it when you start to think...this is going bad.
Do it then. At that moment.
Before the chips go flying away.

The poker tables will be there when you get back.

Find a program that works for YOU when you realize the game is eating your bankroll.
You don't have to the one I just gave you.
But set yourself a GOAL to get away from that table when you realize that your money will make more money later if you take a break.

Some people carry their dogs outside to peee. :D

What ever works for you.....
find something that you do every time to take a break and clear your head.
I lost $80 today playing online. I didn't bother me, it didn't take my bankroll away.
I had a bad day at the tables. I saw it. I quit playing. I will play again tomorrow or the next day. And I will win.

Walk away.
Make it part of the game you play. :top:

You can always us CardsChat to come to rant.....
while you drink that Crown Royal!!..and mellow out.

Good luck on the tables.
Robert.

You have to remove the mindset that the game is just one session and approach the game in a more holistic sense.

That last $4 or $5 is part of your overall bankroll and should be treated how you treat the entire roll.

If frustrated or on tilt instead of just spewing off that remaining $ 4 or $5 sit out and walk away. Those little spew offs add up to a buy in to your normal game over time.

Play with BANKROLL MANAGEMENT! If you rebuy when your stack gets under 100BB you won't get down to that $7. Will that make it so you don't go crazy with it, since you shouldn't be letting yourself get down to that low of a stack anyway? If you only have $30 then you shouldn't be playing with all of it on one table, unless you are just playing for fun, then carry on. There is this thing called variance, and every player is going to have losing sessions. If you have the bankroll to get though those losing sessions, and keep getting your money in good, your bankroll will eventually grow. If you play with all your bankroll on one table all the time, you will eventually lose it all.

I have seen some people become more happy when they lose money...literally. Afterwards, I spoke to some of these (very successful otherwise) people and learned that for some of them it was a relief or cathartic. They don't play to lose they just seem to play badly/wildly sometimes making the whole table nuts when they are on a winning streak. Hard to play against when you expect some sort of rationale for the cards.
