I've lost loads of the last few days in these situations. What would you do? why can't a King or Ace come out to make it easier to fold.

PokerStars - $0.02 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (SB): $2.97
BB: $2.33
UTG: $1.64
CO: $3.00
BTN: $2.00

Hero posts SB $0.01, BB posts BB $0.02

Pre Flop: ($0.03) Hero has Q:diamond: Q:spade:

UTG raises to $0.08, fold, fold, Hero calls $0.07, fold

Flop: ($0.18, 2 players) J:club: 2:heart: T:diamond:
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.06, Hero raises to $0.18, UTG raises to $0.30, Hero calls $0.12

Turn: ($0.78, 2 players) 8:diamond:
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.24, Hero calls $0.24

River: ($1.26, 2 players) 4:heart:
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.56, Hero calls $0.56

UTG shows J:spade: J:heart: (Three of a Kind, Jacks) (Pre 18%, Flop 87%, Turn 86%)
Hero mucks Q:diamond: Q:spade: (One Pair, Queens) (Pre 82%, Flop 13%, Turn 14%)
UTG wins $2.30

Why can't you 3-bet pre?

Yes 3bet pre... and also when your re-raised on the flop often pairs are way behind.

Yeah generally i need to 3bet more, so if I 3bet and villain 4bets am i folding or shoving?

Also if I 3bet and villain calls pre-flop and then bets out for 1/2 or 3/4 pot whats my play.

Taking this line, at least you lost the least $ possible, I wouldn't be majorly unhappy with the outcome. 3betting pre is obviously the optimal play though (unless he has a high fold to 3bet (+75%)

3bet pre unless villain is a nit (certainly not the case here). Also pretty well hate that you're not trying to get all-in against this guy considering the way you played it preflop. Idiots like this will get stacks in with TP hands. Don't let that kind of value go to waste by only calling turn/river.

3 bet pre, bomb every street. Sets are super rare and stations will call you down easily with TP or even worse.

Just as a final thought the other reason I didn't 3bet was because the villain had be min raising every hand (quality player) but raised 4x in this hand, just felt a bit fishy so called to see what came on the flop.

Does the 4x really matter am I thinking about it too much, are we just looking to get as much money in against these players as possible if he has AA,Kk's or AK then so be it.

The fact that he changed his betting pattern should tell u something from the beginning of the hand. And alway take the aggressive choice even if u loose the hand its more profitable in the long run. Also my advice to you when people at micros get aggressive post flop by re raising they do it for a reason they usually have 2 pair or better then if u dont want to fold at least try to make the pot small. If u 3bet him an hi calls pre flop and then he re raise u i think u would consider folding it would be clear to you now. ( people at micros don't bluff allot specially fish. Fish tend to be aggressive when they hit a monster hand
