Apart from looking in a mirror atm... What are the stats I should be looking at at tables with 6max?

Would I be right to be thinking highest seen flops? and lowest buy-in amounts because ppl who know better always buy-in as much as possible?

And also identifying a fish.. What are the best common traits found? And is there any articles on how to exploit fish?

I have read on a few articles lately on isolating fish which I found useful and spent the last few weeks expanding my experience with 3betting.

These are the things I look for when locating fish:

1) VPIP and PFR stats, if there is a big gap they're probably a fish.

2) Limping pre - probably a fish.

3) Anyone without a full 100bb stack or without auto-topup on - probably a fish.

4) Weird bet sizes, like repeatedly opening pre to 10bb or repeatedly overbetting or betting tiny post.

5) Having lol hands at showdown.

I'd say mm hit the nail on the head with everything I was going to say. Those are just about everything I look for from the moment I sit down at the table.

+1 to MM's post.

Another thing I've noticed is that they will call almost any raise preflop so if you have premium hole cards you can raise really big without fear of scaring them off.

And as happened to me last night, some of them after they've taken a bad beat (or what they consider to be a bad beat after they've called your river bet with top pair holding K5o on a K high board when you have AK) have the tendency to shove all in pre for the next 5-10 hands... basically until someone calls them. :D
