Hi, im relatively new to live cash poker so i'm looking for advice on how to adapt to these crazy £1/£1 NL Holdem tables im sat down at as I am getting cleared out most of the time at the moment and need some advice.

To give you an idea of how the tables I play at go they're like this:
- Straddling is something 80% of players do and not just a £2 straddle up to £8 on a regular basis.
- It's very rare for less than 4 people to go to the flop even with 6×BB (or more) bets from early position raisers
- folding to a 3bet is rare, 2 or 3 players can call a 3bet reguarly
- All ins are frequent with top pairs, flush draws or even worse for 200BBs+!

Total gamblers seem to fill these tables but they seem to have more money than sense.

I thought the best strategy would just be to only play good hands in good spots to try and make a monster and let them call off all their chips or bet into me and bluff very rarely as they do not fold. what do you guys think? should this work?

The live 1/2 tables near me can sometimes be very similar from what i have witnessed although never sat there myself. What i would first say is what bankroll are you playing with here? For what seems to ne a very aggressive game i would want a good amount of buy ins behind me and like you said i would be looking for optimal spots. I would recommend looking at mike caros book of tells for an insight to some stuff you may find useful in a live environment. Also start looking for the regulars. I wouldn't sit at these tables as i wouldn't feel i had an adequate bankroll, i think that may be critical here if you are encountering these tables alot. Hope my 2 cents helped.

Yeah I go into the game with 90BBs, then add on another 30BBs if i dwindle down to 60BBs - not a lot to say most people do sit down with more
