After winning a big hand at a live cash game, what do you consider to be the minimum amount of time to stay at that table, and continue playing, before walking off with your money.

In casinos? I've cashed out right then. That's business. In home games? Not a real cool thing to do. But if you do have to go, at least let YOUR FRIENDS know. :)

I gotta go in a while boys. So get back after your money while you can.

In anything but a 'friendly' game, cash out whenever the hell you feel like it. In a 'friendly' game, wait until the BB hits you and then announce 'This is my last orbit.', fold every hand until the next BB.

LOL, just did this last night. Played one last hand that was just killing me since you know its always that one last hand that screws up your margin but had to take a shot with TJs. To make a long story short, I intended to play it uber tight but the boys kept giving me almost exact pot odds to stay in (so I was hating every time I called trying to hit the draw) after the flop gave me a straight draw and a backdoor flush and I ended up rivering a Broadway to take down a really nice pot that a guy who flopped 2 pair kept firing on.

I did not feel bad at all about leaving - but at least they knew before that hand I had chip trays in my hand which is always a tip a guy is going to make an exit. And we had been there for 6 hours. I think a few guys who just arrived at the table in the last half hour were like, "Hey!?". You never like to see the chip leader go away when you have just sat down and zeroed in on him.

Although you talk about some sort of strange collusion - me and the guy on my right were the overwhelming chip leaders - in fact everyone else at the table was short stacked with less than $200. We kind of started discussing that it was stupid and counterproductive for us to even be at this table right now and we should either be switching tables or getting out. I got out.

I will say that once upon a time, for no particular reason - I thought it proper to stay at least another orbit (not intending to play unless it was a monster).

At a casino whatever thats business but the regulars will remember you. If your good a crush it alot of the time i wait till the bb hits me and call about a 30min time limit.... however if i just tripled up my original buy in i try and stay in for awhile to help the guy hosting the game by betting with position and what not since i do want to come back to this game. the host is all about rake so if you hit and run with alot of the money its a great way to never be invited back

**** it, leave with profit if it's a big casino.I played once for about 10 mins while on a dumb drunken night out and trippled up. I got up and left to go blow my winnings in a gentlemens club. Funnily enough, one of the guys I got a stack from was there an hour later and I offered to buy him a drink.
