LOL, just did this last night. Played one last hand that was just killing me since you know its always that one last hand that screws up your margin but had to take a shot with TJs. To make a long story short, I intended to play it uber tight but the boys kept giving me almost exact pot
odds to stay in (so I was hating every time I called trying to hit the draw) after the flop gave me a straight draw and a backdoor flush and I ended up rivering a Broadway to take down a really nice pot that a guy who flopped 2 pair kept firing on.
I did not feel bad at all about leaving - but at least they knew before that hand I had chip trays in my hand which is always a tip a guy is going to make an exit. And we had been there for 6 hours. I think a few guys who just arrived at the table in the last half hour were like, "Hey!?". You never like to see the chip leader go away when you have just sat down and zeroed in on him.
Although you talk about some sort of strange collusion - me and the guy on my right were the overwhelming chip leaders - in fact everyone else at the table was short stacked with less than $200. We kind of started discussing that it was stupid and counterproductive for us to even be at this table right now and we should either be switching tables or getting out. I got out.
