Hi! the games ive been playing are mega loose with maniacals calling any making me to tighten up significantly. a 10bb preflop raise is standard and hands like 99 on EP are just impossible to openraise. so in order to not miss some postflop spots with the weak players i want to limp as much as possible:

EP:22-TT,ATs+,KTs+
MP:22-88,Axs,9Ts+
LP:78o+,56s+,Kxs

Any opinions on strategy from personal experience? Thnx in advance.

Stop limping all those hands from EP and start raising 88+ and I really hope you don't mean that you are limping hands like AK and AQ from these spots.

MP it is kind of whatever to to limp 22-55 if the table is crazy enough and stacks deep enough and people are stacking off in limped pots. Still don't love it though. 66+ you should be raising. Limping hands just because they are suited does not sound like a good idea.

Erase your whole LP limping range and isolate and play hands in position instead. Limping hands like 56s has so much reverse implied odds and is going to get you coolered a ton and your not going to get paid off much when you hit since a flush draw coming is a live players biggest fear. So just stop that all together.

It's a free roll though.

hi iplay it looks u didnt get my point. when i raise 6bb i get 8 callers. can u play 88 oop w 8 callers? i cant. so even 10bbs over there can be a waste of time to go in a HU pot. in FR someone waking up with a better hand than 88 is pretty often plus usually u get 3bet by people w A2s etc huge over there. so raising huge-folding or shoving medium pps is not an option. therefore limping w hands like above is paramount. cant openfold 12bbs.

Then adjust your raise sizes.

in FR someone waking up with a better hand than 88 is pretty often

Only 6 better hands then 88 preflop.

u get 3bet by people w A2s etc huge over there.

I have played over 600 hours of live 1/2 this year and have not seen people 3 betting hands like this but it is different in different areas. If people are infact 3 betting these hands in your games then that means people are also preflop raising often which is even more reason to not ever limp preflop. Limp calling OOP is one of the worst adjustments possible to this kind of play.

Look at the range of hands you are talking about limping here. With this range you are going to be playing a vpip/pfr of about 25/3 which is incredibly bad and easy to play against so maybe you should reevaluate who the weak players at the table are.

This whole post honestly sounds like you have had a rough session of getting bullied and you are making a tilt post. Take my advice or not but I am actually an experienced live player who beats games just like this(minus the seemingly crazy 3betting) where 8-10 bb preflop raises is completely standard.

i respect ur view but there are gaps in ur theory. what would u do with A2s? raise 10bbs? miss the chance to play with complete fish? limping small pps utg is a standard strategy too. bigger winner there is a guy that just limps more than me and doesnt limpfold that much his weakest part, appreciating his implied. 88 may be a great hand in theory but in practice a 3b from AJ will make u fold. shorties jam all over the place. yesterday i jammed AA and got called by 68! its just 100nl. havent tried to work my way through with huge raises but im too scared to play a jtx board with 77 having to comitt lots of bigs, since i have a big edge anyway. im interested though in ur opening range. plus ur limping if u have one. thnx for ur time anyway.

The only time I would ever consider raising A2s is on the Button or maybe cutoff if everyone else folded. Anyone else with an Ace and your a big dog. When you hope to catch lightening playing mediocre hands, often when it strikes it's not where you wanted it to. If there's a lot of people in the pot with weak hands, play only strong hands. AA vs 68 you're going to win 80% of the time so bet it big and when you get cracked don't worry about it. at least you'll have plenty of chips to bet if you didn't run your stack off playing mediocre hands.

You should be scared to play 77 because unless you flop a 7 it's probably not going to pay off.

Limping is very difficult without being raised especially from early position. Any hand worth playing is worth raising. If not we are just waiting to get lucky and that can be a costly way to play.

nice article iplay. cant actually visualize the situation in this thread but strategy is not one way. sometimes theres this guy with the 10000chips to pay the jackpot as ed miller states and u just have to choose how much u want to invest to win a fortune from a maniacal. thnx for the feedback and interest. ive started a new thread about FR live where ill try posting anything worth discussing.

This is very unlikely to happen in a live cash game. Everyone folding until the button is not gonna happen. Almost never.
