I play .25 .5 6 max limit holdem and i have recently hit a bad slop.i just wonder if i am playing to loose. i know it depends on what type of player your against, but generally what types of hands should you stay away from, esepcially to a raise. should i be playing hands like QJ, A10, KJ suited or unsuited when somebody has already come in for a raise? also how tight should i be playing under the gun?

It depends who raises it, and you often shouldn't be flat calling because that invites the blinds in. 6 max limit is SWINGY and you can do everything right and still get screwed, it's a tough game. IMO, you should be very good at full ring before you play. I respect UTG raises but raises from the CO and button a lot less. So much of your questions are player dependent I have a tough time answering them.

ive been getting esepcially screwed recently. ive lost over $30 in like the last 5 sessions. i reviewed most of the hand histories and i did make mistakes here and there but mostly ive been ahead after the flop and they call with bottom pair and hit a 3, 4, 5 outter to beat me. ive also been very low at hitting draws. at least i have a glimmer of hope now that its not me playing bad but just a down swing. also, i always thought that 6-max was less swingy than full ring.

i say loose small on small hands and win big on big hands, you should know if it's safe to raise or call
raise when you HAVE hit not when your drawing

Over 15kish hands in .02/.04 LHE 6max, I am playing a 21/15ish type game, and I feel like I am playing loose...You people and your 30% VPIP haha

I am sure as I play more and learn more, I can open up my game more comfortably.

try seeing the flop as cheaply as possible with semi strong hands as it is so hard to bluff generally in limit games....this allows u also to put variance on ur hand ranges against other players for they cannt purely have u figured out

Of course this depends on table conditions, but trying to see a lot of cheap flops in a 6max game against good opponents will get expensive...

If you're reviewing your play and you're generally fine after the flop, you probably shouldn't be too worried about your pf play. Are you losing bets on the turn and river?
