Should I play more or less hands in limit holdem than no limit holdem? I really like limit holdem, but have not been playing well. Any suggestions would be great.

you will find urself playing more hands and also bluffing more hands in limit versus no limit. Limit is a crazy game and requires a kill all attitude with no cards at all.

I usually play 6, but what would you consider a good starting hand. actually what would be the worst starting hand you would play in middle to late position?

I would definitely play more. You can play more drawing hands without running the risk of getting megaraised or called all in.

Definitely play more hands, but also realize that so is everyone else. It's more of a drawing/suck out game then NL because you don't have to option to put someone to a decision for all their chips.

Im usually a conservitive player and rarely play limit games so Im not entirly sure. however, I would say that i play more hands in limit because no one will raise a rediculous amount preflop after a call

what beefcake said is the problem. that is why playing more hands or not is what gets to me

im limit holdem you should play more cards like 89 , j10, 67, because you can get a straight or flush proyect in the flop, and if someone bets you can call without risking lots of chips, also having a pair is not so great in limit holdem cause there are lots of limpers each hands whick will reduce your chances of winning the hand...

I HATE LIMIT. I ALWAYS GET MY ASS KICKED. PROBABLY BECAUSE I SUCK AT IT AND THE ONLY TIME I PLAY IT IS WHEN I GOT A SHORT ROLL

my VPIP is higher in limit vs NL. In 6max Limit I'm 28/15 whereas in NL I'm at about 23/12 over the same amount of hands. You'll defend your BB alot more which is probably where most of the difference is at.

tight is still right but aggression is the key. You dont want to cold call a raise with 89s but you may 3bet a raise with 89s against the right player and right position. You would of course defend BB against anyone with 89s. (just one raise)

My starting hands between Limit and NL doesnt really change much. Just how I play them is what changes. One difference though is I may raise JTo from MP in NL but in MP in limit I probably fold it unless its suited. You're likely to have more callers so you'll need better odds.

More hands in the BB, otherwise it really just depends on what your playing style is. In FR, something like 11/8 is about as tight as you can profitably play (unless you're just bonus clearing). In 6max, it is about 24/16. As you move beyond 1/2 (at least on Stars), I would think that you would have to loosen up considerably to avoid getting run over.
