I don't know much about limit HE. I would advise people to play no limit. It is far more fun and there is more advice you can get from here.

Yep i play 0.25/0.5 limit holdem on pokerstars.

It's more tight than 0.5/0.1 and 0.1/0.2 but you will find also fish players (agressive with medium hands).

You have to use a HUD to play over there cause you will get the same oppenement playing, and it help really a lot.

There's much more variance on 6 hands 0.25/0.5 so be carreful for your bankroll management.

Dont be too rush calling raises in this stakes with suited hands such as 5s4s when you have only draw or fives because mostly people here play ruthless with AK, AQ and even Ad2d and they win on river - lost today 8 times in row vs dumb guys with A2, A3 with superior pre-flop hands such as QQ, KK and in one case I had trips with view of getting fullhouse and amateur called my all-in with nothing only to win it by odd luck on river with straight..

This is actually one of the best limits to play at online - the players are more advanced than the lower levels so there aren't 5 opponents to every flop, but they aren't all pros like say maybe 3/6 limit online. Play premium hands in early positon AQ AK and 99s - AA KQ or KJ ok if the game is somewhat passive. Look to play aggressive in later position esp. on the button yr 89 suiteds and 10 J suiteds play well in later position. You will get a lot more experience reading your opponents in a much shorter time because more hands go to showdown. Good luck! P.s. small pairs and small suited connectors don't have as much value in limit like they can in no limit

I play LH. 0.25/0.5 is tighter than 0.1/0.2. Do you realize that LH is high variance game compared to NL? Do you use a HUD? If not, you should. What is your sample size on 0.1/0.2. Post a graph and stats from 0.1/0.2 LH if you want more comments.

LH is really usefull to develop a post flop play. Generally you should be looser than in NL but tighter than, I would say table average. Like always your action depends not only on your cards, but more on the situation and stats from the table.

Great point kefir - it really matters how many opponents are seeing a lot of flops. Once 5 people call a capped pot pre flop - You have little chance of getting them to fold til the river so you just have to hope your hands hold or it can be a very frustrating session. If you make the nuts a couple times early in the session it can open up a lot of options later on - for some reasons most limit players remember hands from early in the session and categorize yr play based on 3 or 4 hands so if you switch gears manipulating them is easier but if you get drawn out on early in sessions my advice is to quit for the day or switch tables

I play at limit holdem at pokerstars up to the $0.10/$0.20 at the moment as my bankroll isn't large enough to justify playing higher . I have noticed that it's a very different game at 10/20 than it is lower though. Generally lower down you can get to showdown and be beaten by trashy but at the 10/20 it seems to get a bit more sane. Once I stop depleting my bankroll every once in a while to pay rent and eat once in a while (in truth I buy shiny things), no doubt I'll see you at that level

hi

I have not played in a while, and in fact these last times was very ill and I even absent the forum for that.
From NL50 begins to have good players. For someone who is starting it is not advisable to start around here, you better start from lower levels.
I've never gotten to play NL50, NL25 me to stay where habre played over 200k hands.

In limit holdem with low stakes it's usual more players play the hand and the pot gets really good. It's hard to fold a hand in which the pot is let's say $10 and you need to pay $.20 more. But in these stakes bluffing is harder work and higher number of hands end in show down.
I like NLHE more.

If you are solid - GO FOR IT! You will rarely play a pot where you put more than 5 BB into a pot, and rarely face a tough decision. I was playing 2/4 LHE on BOVADA Saturday and most of the players REALLY SUCK. They still cold call raises and re-raises with bad hands, call bets chasing, and then check when they hit their draws. Many of them are bad at NLHE, and WORSE AT LIMIT. Just don't go trying to bluff them.
