Limit Games = Less Strategy/Skill?
What is your take on the title? What sort of constructive comments do you have about Limit Poker games
like Stud, Omaha, and Hold'Em? How would you respond to the following statements?
1) In Limit games there's no real way to get your opponents to fold.
2) There is less strategy/skill involved in Limit games because players are going to call no matter what you do.
3) Limiting the bet sizes encourages more players to stay in the hand. This makes it so that the pot builds up to sizes where players almost always
have the correct pot odds
to call the relatively small bets involved with each round.
