I leave when I double my chip stack to protect what I have won. I add chips when I'm short stacked. I have seen many times where players double up to lose their stack to AA, any bad beat or suck out.

It's not really a question of amount, except that if you end up with more than 10% of your bankroll on the table (and people cover you) then you should quit. It's a question of whether or not the game is good and whether or not you are capable of playing well.

It feels like I get an advantage sometimes if I have 2 or 3x starting stack. There is risk, but if you play your game there's always a chance to stack em.

Don't think about set money, otherwise you wont maximise your profits. Have a set time to play for like 3 hours. If you lose a lot before the end then of course leave but if you're winning and the table is profitable, why bother leaving? The easiest way to make money is by having a big stack.

You always need to feel the game

You always need to feel the game. If luck is with you today, you can play until you are lucky. If you are not lucky today, you should change the table or stop playing at all on that day. It is necessary to look at the situation, if there is a fish at the table, then it is worth continuing to play until you have a good stack. If there are some sharks at the table, then it's worth stopping playing even if you are at a loss

I always buy-in at the minimum and never play with anything higher than a dollar or two. I leave the table when I either double up or bust, then start again the next day

You are an expert member by your title and have no idea what you're talking about. Leave the table today when you double up or lost the buy-in only to come back tomorrow and start from where you left. The same game, the same cards, the same deck and the same random shuffle. What's the difference?

when you win at a table I think it's stupid to get out of it as long as the trend is positive should stand, and the opposite when the table is against you is stupid to stand and persist

I'm playing for fun, the cash is a bonus. If I double up I leave feeling good about myself in that game, and I can come back again, not with the amount I left with, but with the minimum buy-in again. If I lose I don't spend more of my bankroll I can use another day to play again, and it could even save me more cash if that loss puts me on tilt.

I guess I just enjoy playing and my target is to leave the table worth twice as much as I bought in for. I can't replace my full time job with poker so I wouldn't even try to use it as a source of income

I set a time limit and a money limit. I'll also leave if the game changes/table turns over.

I naturally tend to go towards stop-losses rather than stop-wins. It's silly to "double up and go" because as another said, what's the difference the next day? Yeah sometimes if I'm up massively at a table I might leave but generally I'm ok with staying and playing (live or online) if I'm playing well. And yes I've def had sessions where I've run well then suddenly keep getting beat and profit is gone.

However that's ok long run. I'd rather leave after my stop loss than lock in a profit. It's poker, not a slot machine. It can sting to grind for hours see a nice stack then run into a few hands and see your stack go from + to - real quick. But that could happen the next time you play anyways.

Better to have a stop loss (for me live it's 2 buy ins, and online a little wider like 3-4 buy ins and that for me means actual, not profit lost) than a stop win.

And to complicate things we also must consider mental game. Sometimes you just feel it's time to go or you're up and feel you need to stay...so sometimes I stay when up or down and sometimes it's worth it and other times it stings but I walk away.

Set a stop-loss and at the same time consider your mental state throughout play, as these two variables come together you'll find what works for you.
